My guinea pig is 3 yrs old and back in 2017 my other guinea pig passed away so current guinea was not even whistling so like she went in depression so we got a guinea pig which was 1 month old and she's 2months , I am very happy they both are very happy

My guinea pig passed a few months ago and your videos really helped me to get over her not being there. Her name was Angel and the new piggy reminds me so much of her! Angel even drank her water in that same odd, uncomfortable position. It would mean the world to me if you name the new piggy after Angel, but of course I understand if you choose another name.

I recently lost my boy Albus and I am only with my current boy Severus, Severus lives in the XL Living World cage and I let him out to run a lot. I’ve been noticing he’s been getting lonelier and less active, he is not old (only about four) and I can see he is depressed. I’m going on a road trip to Michigan and staying there a week for Christmas and I’m taking him with me. And hopefully afterwards I’m going to get a little baby boy for him to bond with. Please read through my plan and correct if necessary. I’ll buy C&C grids, and extra water bottle, and a hut for the baby. I’ll set up the pen/cage in my bedroom so he is well away from my older pig just in case the baby is sick. I’ll keep him up there for about a week and a half so I can monitor him and handle him a little bit. (If I cant find a breeder or rescue I’ll get him from a local pet shop that takes good care of their animals, not petco or petsmart.) After his time in my room I’m going to completely disinfect the large cage with vinegar and the sorts. I’ll use a few of the grids to divide the cage in half so Severus and the baby can smell,interact, sleep, and eat next to each other with out being able to harm each other. I’ll do that for two weeks (I’m taking this really slow haha). After that period is done I’ll disinfect the cage once again and I’ll put them in a neutral area so they can figure out their dominance. Once that is done I’ll either divide the cage again (depending if they can figure out the dominance) or if they did figure it out I will put them together. I hope you think this is alright. Severus is mellow but can be easily stressed, so I want to take it slow. He is a short hair American pig (he has cuy genes because he is much bigger than normal piggies haha). I got him and his late brother form a woman that was neglecting them, they were obese and nasty in a tiny pet store cage. I worked hard getting them to lose the weight and about a month ago Albus was taken by a surprise disease. After that night I scrubbed everything Albus had touched and took Severus to the vet, he got antibiotics and is now a cuddly little thing! Thank you for this video and I hope you read this! Lots of love from my fur baby to yours! ❤️❤️❤️
