How I did the IMPOSSIBLE with SOUTH SHIELDS

- Following their promotion from the Evo-Stick Premier Division last season South Shields are currently taking part in the National League North for the first time ever.
They’ve had a good season so far and are currently sat just inside the playoff places at the time of recording.
Today we try and replicate that form and see where we can take them over the course of 10 full seasons in Football Manager.

I have always made content throughout my professional career, however, it has always been for someone else. In May 2020 I decided that it was time to create something for myself. Football Manager has always been a game that I have loved so wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the tips and tricks that I've learnt!

That’s actually my first FM 24 save and I have also enjoyed Blair Addams and Blackett in season one, while getting Robert Briggs Arena as my new stadium few seasons into the save. It was actually pretty easy to secure back to back promotions and not get relegated from the Premier League in the maiden season there.

@@HoodGamingUK that's the spirit of brevit fc... you're in the 8th of Eng football, playing 4-4 fckn 2 with Big Dave who's 6ft 6 upfront with Massive Mike who's 6ft 8 and were gna win the league.

Not as yet as I am currently doing a save with another north east club that is even closer to where I live Gateshead and have just gained Promotion to league 1
I did Blyth Spartans on FM21 as used to live 5 mins from Croft Park before moving to Ashington. May do Gateshead next FM as they are the other team I have not tried yet

funny enough this years save for me im doing with south shields, i do a save where i try to fin the prem or a europian trophy with a 6th div team. (pickes SS because last year when i did telford they were the team that harrassed me up the leagues from the 7th tier at the time).
My rise isn't as emphatic as im a noob compared and play more casually, but im doing very well lower mid table in championship in 6 seasons.

i e got a question, in the finances section where it says overall balance is that how much money is have to spend?
no that’s the amount of money the club has in general to spend for wages or facilities

Personally not having replays takes some of the sparkle from the cup. Smaller teams holding a bigger team at home and getting that grand day out is gone if they scrap replays
For me, it depends what the big sides want. A chance of a plucky win at home or a potential bumper pay day of the away fixture
Fact about South Shields: Jade from Little Mix is an honourary president of the club. Out of curiosity what was your role at Bristol Rovers?
Now that is something I didn’t know!! And I worked in the Rovers media department for about 4 years. Was responsible for their website, social media, videos etc

I did this in FM23, took me 36 seasons tho..
It can be a long journey for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever played a save that long so fair play!!
I am personally in favour of scrapping replays has it gives lower league teams drawn at home to beat bigger teams which is what the magic of the fa cup is all about.
I would not however make any more changes to the competition.
Happy to scrap replays, just think it could be seeded like in Spain etc
