Dont sleep on bone shatter. Its legit the pack clear on the warrior, if you have enhanced aoe size. > hit lead monster with basic attack >primes for stun >hit with bone shatter >clears the whole back behind it with shockwave >rinse and repeat.
leap slam into boneshatter is still carrying me through cruel. I don't really understand why people mess around with warcrys, totems, and multi stage setups with earthquake and sunder. Literally all I do is leap->dodge-> target the most suitable stun proned enemy for bonshatter. The whole pack clears with all the stuff that gets added onto it. Maybe it trails off at endgame because you can't take the damage, but otherwise, boneshatter just seemed OP to me from Act 2 onwards
Pop Infernal Cry Start a Rolling Slam or Leap Slam that has Overpower (Increase Stun Buildup by 50%) socketed into it. Immediately use a basic attack or a Bone Shatter. Ensure Bone Shatter has these socketed: Impact Shockwave: creates an aftershock when you Heavy Stun an enemy, dealing the same damage to enemies within (base)1.4 meters. Magnified Effect: AoE size +40% Watch as the whole screen explodes, catches on fire, and explodes some more.
I made a “Marauder” in poe1 that has fist weapons with the gem that “throws” your weapon like a boomerang. The animation of the attack is so funny because I just slightly move my fists forward, holding them level to my waist, while rotating my hips. My roommate and eye have this little song in our head for the attack animation that’s just “Do the hustle…”
Thanks man. Just started playing and every "starter build guide" talks about mid game late game. Like dude... I'm ugha bughaing here and whenever I open a skill tree I get a mild shock. Thanks again for a good video. Improved my game a lot.
I am loving warrior so far. I’m currently level 29 in valley of the titans. I have the support gem that increases stun on my shockwave totem and it stuns most mobs on the first wave. A lot of people seem to dislike this class but I’m having a lot of fun, not really having difficulty with bosses either (except the end of act one he was tough). Edit: I am exclusively 2 handed weapons. Early on, I recommend investing a small amount into dex, so that you can have access to the dex support gems. Use the one that increases attack speed by 25%. Early on I used this on rolling slam. Later in the game I switched it to my main attack, because it does the most damage (keep on the lookout for any items that increase attack speed, it makes a huge difference).
This is the first and only guide I opened as so far, I have been stomping through the game by just playing sword and board and summoning my totems to destroy everyone. Feels more like a shaman lol
Just started my warrior last night because Ranger overall is not fun to me. I fucking love the warrior so far and by looking at this video i been doing everything the right way so far.
Ignore shield and just use a 2 hander for early game. Check out the area effect damage and size nodes to get more utility and clear speed from your abilities. The Mercenary start is to the right side of your start it has some pretty cool passives for Warrior (life regen, area effect, + armour, attack speed). Mob kills- Rolling slam, the war cry and bone shatter Boss- shockwave totem, earthquake, bone shatter
Shield Charge followed up with a boneshatter is good. passive that increase block chance and damage that increases with block chance and amount of armor.
I found the shield charge ability to be absolutely key. It sets up melee combos for other attacks like bone shatter, and can even be used to retreat if you're in a tight pinch. Unlike ranger or sorcerer I've also found that keeping a key open for just a basic melee strike is not a bad idea.... Particularly since your Almana pool is going to start out so low. Fortunately you can compensate by making good use of your salvage table and allowing for socketed weapons to rather dramatically increase your base melee damage while mana is recharging. I would actually say though that I've had better success keeping a bow in my second weapon slot, for the rare occasion where you wind up having to do range damage instead of melee... Usually because of some particularly nasty cluster of mini bosses. Obviously strength is most important stat for warrior but Dex I would argue is more important than intelligence because a high decks will both allow you access to bows and their range abilities which are usually better than the warriors range abilities.... And allow you to the evasion stat with your armor. The one thing better than having a ridiculous armor class that minimizes the damage you take is having a decent ranking in an ability that means the hits never actually touch you in the first place. Obviously though Bo is still strictly a backup weapon for specific cases... I'm particularly nasty packs I'll throw in a few lightning arrows to soften a particularly large pack up then head on in with shield charge and mop up whoever's left.
I built my Warrior as a charger + totem. Slaps like hell, making areas easier. Still not broken like flicker monks zipping on the map like POE 1 camcer.
Infernal cry & perfect strike wipes bosses too, use the time frame support on perfect strike and increased enhanced attack support on infernal. takes down geonor in 4/5 hits, easiest early game build i've tried
As far as I know, there's still a huge bug where if you go two weapons and try to set boneshatter to just one of your 2 weapons, the visual indicator stops showing up and you don't know when to use it.
I just started as warrior. Is there a viable way to increase the ability speed and make him a bit quicker overall? That overhead slam tskes about an hour
How come you didn't mention shield charge? At level 43 now and have used it since I first unlocked it and with the support gem (stomping ground I think?) so it leaves shockwaves with every step It has often killed entire groups of enemies in one cast. When I've tried using earthquake, the totem, rolling slam, perfect strike and boneshatter, the only ability that comes close to the same damage is boneshatter and maybe sometimes perfect strike if you count the entire ignite duration.
I picked up a nutty legendary 2 handed mace (forgot the name) I literally bonk enemies and kill them in 1 hit and the how fast I melt bosses seems illegal , I decided to go with armor into the relentless node and then I guess I scale down towards melee attack damage
I have huge issues with the mobility of the warrior. Because some AoE Damage from the Bosses just rip out your health. It's the class i had the least fun with. Which is a pitty, because i usually play melee. Or i'm playing him wrong... will try it again after the upcoming patch.
Resonating shield is meh skill... UNLESS you go all in in thorns damage =) Because you are doing small damage, breaking armor and actively blocking, you are reflecting shitton of damage back. But its very niche build in my opinion.
Probably the worst feeling class early game. I played each one so far and the very slow attacking wasn't really balanced out by the damage. I've seen some gameplay of people doing insane damage late game but it's a slog for sure. Best to play another class first and grab some gear to help a new warrior along.
Idk I felt like I killed stuff possibly the fastest of all my chars (i made one of each) and one shot most small enemies all the way through act 1. The problem I found was that fast melee bosses are tough
Getting into warrior is it ok for ms to only focus on two handing through out the game even end game and should i bother filling weapon set 2 with another weapon?
@@Btburkhardt alright ty :) i am already playing ranger almost lvl 20 but wanted to get into warrior and the learning curve of fhe game is nuts but fun only then for me is the performance of the game( i'm on the series x) but overall great experience
You actually can, but it's buried all the way down the skill tree, it's called gaints blood. But it also triples the stat requirements for the weapon, so you better start stacking strength nodes. Also very popular with it , is 2 hander and a shield for really good damage and good tanky-ness
honestly armor breaker is worthless. Still takes ages to proc, doesn't last long enough. You are better off just ignoring it, it's not necessary for anything in the campaign, and when you get perfect strike, you don't need it at all. Armor breaking is just a thing for end game builds that ends up proccing other things.
Playing a war its like spend the first 65 to 75 level of gameplay as you're playing a lvl 8 autoattack druid from d4, not sure I have seen something more boring of this class on this game

Yeah, I initially thought bone shatter was worthless until I started getting more stun procs and seeing the huge potential of it.
Bone shatter has been carrying me!!!
Bone Shatter has been the way for my shield warrior.
leap slam into boneshatter is still carrying me through cruel. I don't really understand why people mess around with warcrys, totems, and multi stage setups with earthquake and sunder. You can go to your skills menu to set up which weapon uses which skill, so you can switch weapons automatically when using a specific skill
I immediately made a wizard on my warrior. No one will convince me I did it wrong.
He casts FIST.
Me too. Avatar of fire for fire bonks.

I'm already building a Death Knight (melee necromancer) build.
There's no real wrong way to play any POE class if you find something that you like and that's fun and works then you did it right.
I am level 40 warbringer rn... And using mostly shield as my weapon
I enjoy these types of videos more than specific builds as I want to know what the skills do but I want to build it out myself. Thank you
I'm glad you're enjoying the content!
Yes Sir. I loved your Elden Ring Builds. I enjoy POE2 so far and I’m very happy that you are doing Build Guides for this Game

i love your videos. i really enjoyed the less of a build guide and more of a mechanics overview style video. Thanks for the video!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

what till you fight Act 2 final boss

I love your guides. You’re a legend
I was pretty fortunate to get a legendary two handed mace drop early on that made the first act trivial with my build. 😅🔥🔨

Super helpful good stuff 👍
Thanks for the video
Commeting for the algorithm. Also do the witch next, love your videos!
Shield Charge followed up with a boneshatter is good. passive that increase block chance and damage that increases with block chance and amount of armor.
So far I had the easiest time playing warrior vs other classes, just op.
dual wield 2x two handed mace is the way to go. makes the game easy
Hah. I did this way too early. Gotta invest so many passive skills to keep up with the strength requirements, but no regrets

Refuse to play him until they add two handed axes 🤣. I’m weird bro
Monk next please
I like to use is Two hander and Shield
nice build
Do witch guide please good ir!

how is your UI so minimal?
Hes playing on controller
Giants Blood in the skill tree. Dual wield 2 handed maces. Profit.
whats the supporter skill gems?

I plan to do all classes.

“Warrior is bad”
No you’re bad at the game
On ps5. Tough to see accuracy or get a handle on how much i need
Go to skill pages then select skill with A and then select advanced info
monk guide pleaseeeeee

Disagree honestly. Grabbed a two hander from a vendor and just smashed everything. It does so much damage.
Getting into warrior is it ok for ms to only focus on two handing through out the game even end game and should i bother filling weapon set 2 with another weapon?
That’s what I did. Was awesome
@Btburkhardt is it still recommended or should i still consider using one handed & shield when i feel like swapping in the middle of combat?
@ both! I rarely use 1h and shield unless mobs are overwhelming, but even then I roll out of it.
@@Btburkhardt alright ty :) i am already playing ranger almost lvl 20 but wanted to get into warrior and the learning curve of fhe game is nuts but fun only then for me is the performance of the game( i'm on the series x) but overall great experience

Shield + magma barrier. Get a big pull and watch it melt.
Is a death knight minion character possible?
