Your life is your reality, and can only be defined by what lays inside of it. So dont say you cant suffer or feel down because you're priveleged, your upbringing has nothing to do with how you're allowed to feel. Hope this finds you well mate.

Since then, this song is sort of de facto song i listen in dedication to her. The insignificance of our would be passing and sort of peaceful sense in a way I feel as I know the world carries on without you in clearly translated in this.. as we did kind of had to carry on.. even if we feel like we wanna talk to her just for a while.. there's no way we can get in touch with her in this universe.. This song had me cry over many times.
im pretty sure the drum riff starting from 1:30 is inspired from the main drum riff of Animals as Leaders-Physical Education it has the same sixteenth displacement on the second kick drum +they toured together while writing this album sick song
it's hard to explain in words, but like. the timing of the intro riff is brilliant because it is in 4/4, common time, but is arranged in such an abstract way that it gives off the effect of being in an odd time signature. If you break it into sixteenth notes for example. the first discernable "phrase" of the riff happens in the first 9 sixteenth notes, the second in the next 9 sixteenth notes, the third in the third 9 sixteenth notes, and then the riff finishes with a 5 sixteenth note phrase. As OP put it, 9+9+9+5=32, which divided by 8 is 4. this whole thing works over common time. It's easier to tell at 1:15, when the drum beat becomes a more like a standard backbeat with the snare on 2 and 4 how the whole thing works together. idk if made sense, but hopefully that helps.
(time signatures in non notated music are a description of beat stress as you hear it ) If you split it in to big beats, there is an alternation between groupings of 4 and 3. It goes into a straight 4 in the middle of the song, but before then I find it hard to "feel" it in 4 unless you are using uneven beats. :D
