Cones, barrels, flat washers, cup washers? I had no idea all that even mattered, such a noob! It's informative videos like this that make we want to learn more, however getting out and riding is still the main deal for me.. Just getting into it and totally digging the sport. Thanks for making this video, cheers
Without any boardside washer in the front truck of the Barbarian, the angle is reduced a little because the washer acts as a shim to retain the pivot angle. But I guess it doesn't affect the ride that much even though the angle in front is slightly lower than the back.
Hey Nate, nice video. I appreciate that you go into detail for us and give us reviews that are actually useful, keep it up man! So I recently bought an Omen Kush that I'm using for downhill and some fast freeride. I went all out and bought cast Ronins and some S9 Steamrollers because I was so excited to skate. I swapped out the stock Fruit Punch bushings that came with my Ronins and put in Venom tall barrels dialed for my weight. I'm exactly the same weight as you so what I did is run green 92a boardside and red 90a roadside. However, I've found that I have to crank my trucks down 3 - 4 turns to feel comfortable at speed because it is still somewhat twitchy and sketches me out. I don't want to over compress my bushings and make my trucks feel dead but I want a stable, confident ride and I need some advice...? SOS
Hi Nate! I'm setting up a high speed freeride/DH omen Kush. I was wondering if I should do a double chubby bushing back truck set up, or if i could wedge the back more with a riser and use double barrels with amish washers. I not really used to drop decks, because my other deck is an original DK that is a super putty set up. I'm 6'2 and weight 140lbs. I'm pretty comfortable riding at high speeds, but I don't like riding switch over 25mph. #thaneiscool
cozypuppet5 riding switch at 25 mph is essentially a death sentence for me now adays. I would reccommend if your back truck angle is above 35* to go barrel barrel with cupped washers both top and bottom, If you are below that, throw in a chubby bushing on top and bottom
BPKShredTM you really only need 1 set. unless you want two setups with savants, then you will need two pairs. they are strong as fuck, straight as fuck, and smart as fuck. Seriously loving them, and will do a review on the savants here shortly.
Hey Nate! I have a question, but it isnt about the Savants or the V2s. Should I buy the Free Wheel Quincy or the Thoughts (I wheigh about 100 pounds) ? OH EF
InfectedGreen3092 i use some of these hard soap blocks... cut a few peaces off and put it in the hole where the hanger is in... i think the hanger is the peace where the rolls are on sorry fir my bad english
Levi Stoker no worries. in my opinion that board is too big for bombing hills for a guy that size. im 5' 7" at 150 and i used to ride a 40" deck, now riding a rayne gmack (38") and feel much more stable. but i still want a bit smaller.. i would recommend a deck around 35, or 36".

that sticker on the last board, "We're not leaving till we're heaving" ahhahaha oh my

Pivot cups will wear out faster
Very knowledgeable explanation! Thanks!
Great setups. btw people - those are the buzz Amish CNC Washers... good stuff.
I have a true top mount as well (the earthwing hopty 34) I have a 50 in the front and a 43 in the back de-wedged to 38.
Just bought v2's thanks for the video🔥🔥🔥💯💯
ily nate

Great info, thank you
Sick !! Thank You !!
Круто все объяснил, спасибо за подробные настройки)
What would be a good bushing set up for a directional set up of the omen airship if I have 45* trucks and weigh 200 pounds?
How well are these trucks on a drop down (globe hg geminion) cruising and just bombing sum hills or garages?
Couple of bruise ridzz
What brand of cupped washers are you using?

I have heard Ronins feel weird wedged past 45 degrees. Guess the support pin doesnt activate. Try em on a board without wedging and see how they feel.
Any suggestions on bushing set up for my rayne dark side with 50* aera trucks n no risers I weigh around 250 😁

OH EF Ok thanks I will try it out and see how it feels.
cozypuppet5 You're 6'2 and only 140 pounds? That's crazy lol
Ben Ryan I run distance, and do cross fit so I'm usually around an 18 for a bmi. You have to do a lot of squats to shred the gnar. lol.
cozypuppet5 haha
What’s the piece sticking through the deck, what does it do?
how are the savants going for you? are they strong? im about 220lbs

Andrew Thomson wtf my softest bushings are 90a
90 boardside/ 87 road
Does anyone know how much rake paris hangers have?
Rails2Revolution none pretty sure
2-3mm Rake on Paris V2 & V3. For comparison it's 5mm Rake on the Caliber 3 R
Does anyone have a cracking noise problem with the gold v2 trucks? I love how they perform, but that cracking noise it drives me crazy.
InfectedGreen3092 i use some of these hard soap blocks...
cut a few peaces off and put it in the hole where the hanger is in...
i think the hanger is the peace where the rolls are on
sorry fir my bad english
so it's okay to use some Paris trucks on a landyachtz tomahawk....there is no drop through.
Its okay... M8
They are good for dancing?
Tibo Hendrickx the 50s... yes
what bushing setup would you recommend for cruising, and bombing hills. On a Landyachtz switchblade 40 with paris v2 50° weighing around 140
how tall are you?
sparky3319 i weigh about 145 lbs
Levi Stoker you said that.. what is your height??
Sorry about that. Im about 5 8 @sparky3329

Hey, Maybe we are related nate? haha you have family in west coast?
Which one gets less speed wobbles?
Speed wobbles aren't eliminated by your trucks
Why so many cupped washers lol...
Took u a while to make a vid 😂
