I think he "borrowed" the clips in his video from an eastern europian csgo player, and forgot to mute the audio of these clips. @3kliksphilip, though I see you have mentioned it in the description of your video it is kinda confusing. Therefore; Philip, please fix. Makes me wonder what the unknown voice is saying, hinting for a csgo source 2 mega pro max update?

Some mappers like this dude are extremely talented. Source engine and Hammer were great and robust for their time, but have really been left behind compared to something like Unreal engine, so its amazing what this guy did with them and the tiny shred of functionality Valve added. And remember, people like him are doing this for FREE, and its not like source engine and hammer experience translates well to a resume, unless its working for valve or the handful of other companies that use source still. I dont think his map is particularly compelling on its own, but I think it might lead to more support from Valve, then more community maps, and we might even see procedurally generated FPS maps gain popularity, like think of a BR game where the world was actually unique each time, not just the encounters.

@@nurs3826 the problem whit random generation is that there are so many edge cases for stupid stuff thats just plain bad. like a staircase leading no were or a room a player spawned in whit out any door or other exit. lets the take the proses of the room.
okey code in some checks to make sure any room that is spawned have at least one exit.
done we now have one room leading into another room that goes no were.
okey we add a bit of code so that a room dead-end can´t lead into another dead-end.
okey we now have 3 room all connected in a circle leading noware.
we add some code that always for a room to spawn whit at least one exit outside. we did that.
the exit is over a cliff or into a brick wall of another house.
we add some code to make sure that there is ground around the building exit door and all other doors. we dont whant a random crate to block a room by mistake. we also add some code that make sure that there always is a walkable path between all the doors in a room.
(it generated a maze in a 10 by 10 meter office cube by maze a mean it generated a snake path).
      we fix that somehow.
next problem how to have the code generate rooms in a building that make sense.
you al have played a costume map where you walk into a huge storage room whit the Intermodal container (Shipping container). and realised there is two door into this room both are small 1 person doors there is no decorative freight doors that the Shipping container can fit through.
next problem we got a entry point into a building it leads into a small room that then continues into a bathroom that then continues into a industrial kitchen that then leads into a disco or something equal pre flexing where you can go back into said bathroom or into a bedroom.
this is a pain to fix.
we have yet not gotten to the part of spawning weapons and gear.
