The A500s Dashcam is a 2K+ and 1080p dual dashcam with crazy good video quality for the price. With little to stand in its way other than the lithium battery, this camera gets a recommendation from me unless you live in a place that is super hot or cold, where batteries are prone to dying faster.
I would however, recommend buying a more expensive camera unless you absolutely need the back camera for this price point. The Viofo A119 is often under $100 USD ( dreki.tech/a119v3 ) and includes a capacitor. So while wiring it for parking mode is a bit tougher, it should last longer in hotter climates. The best dashcam for hot climates is one with a super capacitor, so places like Texas, California, Arizona or any other desert should avoid cheap cams with a battery built in.
Finally, 70Mai is not particularly known for their good customer service. So while this camera is cheap, if you get a dud, it may be tough to find recourse (outside of any return period).

Right on DT,
I was just wondering when your next dash cam review was coming out.
I clicked the link for Amazon US, and for $85USD this looks like a good option.
Bummer it’s 4:3, not 16:9 aspect ratio.
How was the app experience for downloading a clip on the go to a cell phone?
Another great review, I love your sense of humor. Lol
Any chance you can review the Ordro EP8, it’s being released this friday 4/1/22.
The manufacturer website says it’s $270USD, and it also said 70% off, which I highly doubt, (those guys will say anything.) lol

Yeah, the 4:3 aspect ratio is a bit weird, but it's not really losing any resolution over other 2K cameras as it is just using the same image sensor in full instead of cropping in to 16:9.
The app was pretty average, I tried it on both iPhone and Android without much issue. Similar to the Viofo apps it seemed like.
I won't be able to review the EP8, unfortunately it's a bit out of budget right now. I'll keep it in mind for the future, though :)
great video
Thanks!
Does this camera give voice prompts when you start it up for example, "SD card detected, recording start". This is one important feature I need because sometimes I get an SD card error that could be too late to find out if something happens.
hi, does it take too much clicks to switch on backward camera on lcd? sometimes if you need to park backwards and to not go outsde...
Only con is it has li-ion battery instead of super capacitor with which during summer's it is prone to fire
Does the rear camera also captures videos in parking survielance mode? Or only the front camera?
What sd card you recommend? Does it support U3 speed models? I have a U3 viccoman 64GB sd card and the dashcam just says "sd card damaged". while it's not.
use a high endurance card from a reputable brand. I use Sandisk High Endurance 128GB. Possibly your SD Card is a fake capacity or fake spec and that is why it does not work
@@DrekiTech thanks
Not bad; also seems to have GPS :-)
And the GPS actually works right on my unit!
Shame cannot turn off those annoying voice commands etc..poor..plus read the disclaimer from manufacturer..in duo channel mode resolution on front dash cam is reduced.
