This movie is a pure art. Simply masterpiece.. and this is the best scene in the movie in my opinion... I watched this scene again n again... Maggie is truly an amazing actress...
I'm blown away by her acting. God, she gives such a great performance in just 6 minutes. This is a great actress.

Wong Kar-wai and Maggie Cheung. You know it's going to be brilliant. It is.
個人認為這是香港電影中最經典的巔峰之作; 一看孤傲, 再看沉鬱, 三看絕望......它所懷抱的是篝火餘燼之中飛逝的一念之慾，是對紅塵的戀眷, 是對愛恨的執著.....! 令快樂的人看了變得不快樂 ; 令不快樂的人看了更形無奈絕望......!
最後就是隨時間流逝，正是本戲英文名「Ashes of time」既絕佳寫照，也是幾乎每個人也經歷、被時間所沖淡的灰塵
或许每个人的感受不同。正如电影里讲的，或者得不到的才是最好。人生何尝又不是，不那么完美才有幻想的空间。王导的电影都有着不那么完整，而又无限向往美好的感觉·~好似红酒越品越纯香。

Keep in mind, the original movie had little to no music but pure dialogue and was near impossible to comprehend :)
I'm not sure that's right. The original movie had the same compositions but performed mainly on synths. The redux version recreates the score using a live orchestra.
The musical score on the Redux version is a rerecording of the score on the original movie with acoustic instruments rather than synths.
