Great video!! My five is much smaller and many are places I have lived in. Vancouver Island, Seattle, Colorado, Bavaria, and Hawaii. New Hampshire is an honorable mention. Top five places I want to visit: 1. The country of Georgia (mostly skiing though I heard some surfing on the Black Sea). 2. Uruguay, specifically east of Montevideo (good surfing, highly developed nation, good food). 3. Almaty, Kazakhstan (I know about the riots and the issues there but Shymbulak Ski Area and Big Almaty Lake look incredible). 4. New Zealand (skiing and surfing). 5. Chile (the best of all worlds)
Great vid. I would suggest you visit the West coast of Ireland to kite and surf. Nothing like being in that clear, emerald green water with the sun shining, surrounded by mountains, and the smell of peat in the air. Also the southwest of Costa Rica where the rainforest comes straight down to the beach. Wildlife heaven. Amazing places all around

It’s in the foothills of the Alps, and trust me dude, some pretty cool places to ski. Check out Kanin-Sella Nevea - you can literally shred gnar in two countries at the same day… back and forth!

Love this question! Glad to see you made it to Japan. Here's my top 5: 1. Japan, easy. Most comfortable and uncomfortable place in the world for westerners to visit. Japan being 70% mountainous basically means the countryside is insanely beautiful. If I had to give a recommendation for somewhere you probably haven't visited in Japan it would be Kyushu. Definitely worth a trip across the prefectures on that island (my favorite is Kagoshima) 2. Myanmar. I was fortunate to have a friend from college from Myanmar and was able to visit her after I graduated. Threaded the needle just right when Myanmar was a bit more stable politically. Such an incredibly beautiful country with a ton of rich culture 3. Taiwan - some amazing street food and city life combined w/ incredibly rich countryside. We went to this town in the mountains that MIyazaki took inspiration from for Spirited Away. Highly recommend 4. Thailand - Chiang Mai - there's a ton more places within Thailand I'd like to go, but our visit to Chiang Mai was epic. We spent an entire day at an Elephant Sanctuary learning about the unfortunate consequences of the ecosystem and how certain communities were looking after rescued elephants 5. New Zealand - I only got to visit the North Island, but am well overdue for a trip back to visit the South Island. Since you've lived in Hawaii you'll recognize there's a tie the connects the two cultures.

I’m not “we’ll travelled,” I haven’t experienced much of the world. I’ve been to the USA/Hawaii/Mexico…and Mexico was the resort experience. But I’m also the explorer, I like to get out of the tourist traps and see what the place is actually about. For that I love Oregon and Hawaii, they’ve been my favourites. Pre-covid I used to go to Oregon every summer, the plan is to come back this year (all fingers crossed).
