George Millers resume might be even more extreme, I dig when directors have range like this because it makes their future releases more interesting. Youre not guaranteed to what their stylistic approach will be and I like that.
Stick around for an entire month of shooting and you’ll see a handful of moments in time where a director lets things evolve on their own. I know you already saw him champing at the bit around 2:05 to interject. Just because he’s not doing it 5 minutes later, it doesn’t mean he’s not “directing”.
Actually, it sounded to me like Benicio Del Toro was more worried about his face only being seen from the side than anything else. He just played it like he was trying to get the shot right, but he was more like "maybe if I am sitting here, looking right at the camera" all the time. Which is understandable because that is his work ;-)
Just the raw video running and capturing what its like bts on a movie set is invaluable to anyone interested in filmmaking. The process, collaboration and group problem solving is obviously so important. Also more laid back then I was expecting and hearing high energy goofy ass Tarantino giving everybody a hard time is pretty funny. Also neat to see Greg pop up in something thats not godamn WalkingDead related.
Wow thanks so much for uploading. Never seen QT directly whispering direction in actors ears before, its so great! I even went down the rabbit hill years ago looking for BTS stuff on YT for this movie in the past and have didnt see this.
I watch this movie everyday and every time I always pick up a different detail. The most obvious well done detail is the synchronization of Jackie boy and Dwight. When bro says “this is like a buddy movie”, it’s humerous because they would pair well both in comic and movie. “I never hit a woman in my life” then Dwight’s obsession with stopping the spill of “women’s blood” but they both not only hit a woman, but slap said woman. They just worked too well as a dead man, and one that you wouldn’t know is borderline insane unless you listened to the well placed clues or had prior knowledge. Thanks for the gems. One more thing, that first scene in the kitchen was so well done for it time, that even now 95% of people would never know it’s green screen. Also it’s sort of wild because Jackie boy is such a sensitive character and nobody talks about that. His story would bring a different light on what basin city truly is (although some would argue this story was all about Jackie Boy) Thanks for the gems
Just checking in to see if you are still watching this every day, seven months later. Have repeated viewings unlocked any secrets of the universe for you?
@oscarjohansson1718 don't crap on people for having passion and love for something. Dude watches a movie and you say he needs help. At least he is able to spell.
Seeing how this scene constructed, I totally get why the smoke comes out of the throat, but I think it would have been awesome to see some of the smoke coming out of the barrel of the gun. I wonder if they tried that and decided it didn't work or make sense or if they just stuck with the throat the whole time. Either way, this is the stuff I love to see. I love seeing all that goes into making these iconic films.
cgi was improving so fast back then but some of these traditional fx guys were used to getting knocked around a bit anyhow, im sure they adapted by learning more
It’s so funny seeing that Rodriguez made this, and also made Spy Kids and Shark Boy and Lava Girl 😂😂
yeah, but also Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn and Planet Terror.
@@deWicher yeah I know the movies he’s made. I’m pointing out how someone who made such a dark movie made such light hearted movies
he has very good range!
Technically his kids made shark boy

I don't think I could have made it through that scene without laughing, The Way Jackie Boy talks.😂
are you an actor?
So basically Benecio Del Toro directed this and Tarantino chimed in with “yeah that sounds cool” 😂

It's so cool watching these group of guys be creative and have some input in the creative process.

Everyday? Fucking hell. You need to get a life 😂😂😂.
That transition between greenscreen and running background is really sweet
Tarantino should’ve directed a dame to kill for.
He did😂
@@BocorSemua no he didn’t.
@@BocorSemuaYeah, what the hell are you talking about?
Thanks for sharing this, insightful 👌🏾
You're welcome.
Very cool seeing Clive sort of muttering his lines to himself as he’s waiting..
This is soo sick. I love Sin city, it has soo much style and great acting.
