I stumbled across this video after I stumbled upon dragonfruit on sale at the grocery store-not a common sight in New Mexico (southwestern USA)! Even on sale it was pricey for me, so I wanted to make the most of it and be sure I wasn’t wasting any part of it!

Nice video. I was looking for what to do with the dragon fruit I bought (I never tried it before) and I didn't know the skin was edible. I have just a question: do you think the sugar is essential for the good making of this recipe? I don't know how the skin tastes yet, but I guess the fruit already has some sugar in it and I wouldn't like to make it too much sweet. Thank you!
Hello Lucia, unlike the dragon fruit flesh, dragon fruit skin is not quite flavorful so I added a teaspoon of sugar. But you can try not to add sugar, it will still taste fine. Thank you for watching.
