I just auditioned for this locally. It was my first big audition for musical theatre, and my hard work practicing paid off. I was offered the role of Cheryl! I am absolutely ecstatic. I love LOVE this musical and I can’t wait to be a part of it soon ♥️
In my headcanon, THIS is exactly what happened leading up to Army of Darkness, and the first two movies were just a retelling of it without music. Probably told by Chet who wasn’t there.
I mean, it's the only version that tells the story of both films and doesn't have any contradictions. Then again, Ash himself remembers contradictory events from both films, so you could very well say that, like in Army of Darkness's S-Mart ending, Ash is the one who told the stories and simply has a terrible memory.
I disagree. The first two movies are DEFINITELY what happened before Army of Darkness (after the opening recap, Evil Dead II makes it _very_ clear Ash has learnt from his experience in the first film and his character arc is consistent across all three films) and so it's fun to think of The Musical as a condensed recap and spoof of all the shit Ash went through across the trilogy. Specifically a radically exaggerated adaptation of a possible true crime novel written about these events. The whole "adaptation" thing is also how I view Evil Dead 2013 and Evil Dead Rise. But you do you.
I found this after a review from Waiting in the Wings. Watched this video and became HOOKED! I immediately began looking for tickets to see where it was, or if it would ever come to my Midwestern city. Lo and behold, there is a local production here! So I convinced family who never heard of this and got tickets for us right in the splatter zone. Seven months later, we finally got to see it! Just came back from the production covered in blood with the biggest smile on my face. The production company said they may bring it back in a few years, and I will already be buying tickets again! Definitely recommend this to anyone who would love a good laugh and can appreciate the comedic quality of this. And shout out to the incredible performers at my show!

congrats, i'm sure you'll do an amazing job ^^
@@dayransilva thank you!
Basically this is if Evil Dead was a Disney Movie
I was thinking the same thing 🤣
Now I'm imagining a late 90s-era Di$ney retelling of EVIL DEAD and it's kinda awesome actually.
I don't think Disney movies use gallons of blood, constant swearing and sex jokes but...okay...
I have watched this bootleg too many times this past month.
Love it!!
I am doing Ash in this musical for the third time this fall. Probably the last time. My old bones can't take it.. lol.
This… this exists??
yeah and it's good
@@dayransilva yeah and I was the middle of My evil dead the game searches for any news and stuff and I found this so now i’m giving it a shot
AWESOME SAUCE!!!
The guy who plays Ashley in this production has got some pipes on him, interested in seeing if he's been in anything else.
The wood bridge joke really only works in Toronto.
i wish there was a DVD of this
I think there is, ive seen some people in the comments mention it, if you search on ebay probably you'll find it
I was prepared for cringe.
I was overwhelmed with awesome instead.
Never been happier to be wrong.
how did I not know this existed.
Same. I'm so glad I've found this.
Same
...I shouldnt be surprised this exists, but at the same time...
Perfect
Also I'm not positive but I think Scott and Shelly are being played by understudies for this performance. Brandon has dirty blondish hair plus the voices sound different. Great job from the understudies if it is them!
The video's description lists the actors.
@@jennzee7297 I know, I'm saying I don't think it's Brandon in the video, I think it's the understudy.
@@mightymorphinmatt420 Ah, sorry. I wouldn't know who's who bc I'm not versed in the art of theater n such. If it is an understudy, they're doing an amazing job keeping up with the other actors. I wonder where they are, now.
@@jennzee7297 the understudies are often just as incredible as the first cast, if not better than them in some instances.
I have an audition for this on sunday (its Wednesday) and I havent seen the musical before 😭😭
@@dontasklongstory i hope you a great audition :)
@@dayransilva Thank you!!! i need it haha
I never got to see this. Even though I was old enough I just didn’t have a car. And my parents wouldn’t take me
Toronto cast was brilliant
Aww man I'd love to see this irl
See if your local theater is doing amy performance of this show, or better yet, try do organize a perfomance on your local theater :)
