I think Paul should rethink his approach to guard engagement. The half-kneeling position with foot on the inside approach, essentially trying to pass from mid distance without good base or mobility, is problematic. it's way too easy for the seated bottom player to get dominant position and play a ashi garami/wrestle up dilemma. The half-kneeling stance makes it difficult to prevent being pulled forward and basically impossible to defend a wrestle up. jordan takes advantage of this throughout the roll for effortless sweeps, including some self-sweeps.
