What are the dimensions for the spring spacer blocks? I did not get those spacers with my base & it was a bear to get the swivel base on, but I finally muscled it on. Thanx for the video.
Just received my new La-Z-Boy recliner with the swivel already installed from the retailer. Love it. I was wondering though if there's a way to tighten the swivel a bit? When in the reclining position the chair will swivel almost too easily. Just curious if the swivel aspect can be adjusted a little tighter. Thanks, and great video.
The rocking spring brackets are made with a very cheap thin gauge steel and they broke easily had replaced already twice ..bought new pair from ebay and the one on the right (same as before)it lasted only like 2 months new before it cracked again from same place as before ..had made my self a bracket with thicker metal ..and seems to be holding better the pressure and weight..
We just paid 150.00 for a swivel base from a Lay-z-boy dealer that told us it would work on our mechanical chair. Easy install, but once installed wouldn’t allow the chair to rock. Is it possible there are different styles for power recliners? We can’t find any info.
@@theaterlightman89 thanks for responding. Turns out there are different bases for mechanical vs manual and they sent the wrong one, hopefully the replacement will work.
Bought mine at the store I bought the chair at. Was told the is a 6 to 8-week delivery wait. I needed 2. One arrived after 4 weeks and I was told the other one will not be delivered until May of this year.
I had this base installed on my recliner. When footrest open , the ratcheting reclining feature leans the chair back with too much ease and seems like it goes back too easily and too far back. Any suggestions on how to fix? We already tightened the wing nuts for the back tension.
you all probably dont care at all but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Jude Joseph thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Purchased the swivel base from Lazy Boy but it does NOT include the spring spacers/blocks this video says are provided and are needed for installation purposes. Otherwise a good video of how to install the swivel base. Also no pads are provided to protect the floor once the swivel base is installed. Come on Lazy Boy, those spacers/blocks should be included when you purchase the swivel base.
What about all the extra parts? I have 5 plastic tubes, 2 long Phillips head screws and 2 tubular nuts with 4 plastic washers. This is a very weak guide. Could you have spent less time on it for us?
Seems pretty simple---for him. Ordered a recliner that was suppose to have a swivel that arrived after 4+ months. They did not add the swivel which I paid for, and they don't know where a swivel will come from and who will install it. Everyone is nice at the store but after years of purchasing $$$ furniture from them I will not purchase again from La-Z-Boy. I just believe there should be more courtesy contact between sales rep and customer if one waits for months. --Lakewood, California --I don't think this recliner is built any better than other manufacturers. Quality has gone down. But, my family and I are healthy--and that is the most important thing!
I found the upper swivel base but not the lower. Doesn't seem to be available. Can a metal ring swivel base be used instead with this upper swivel base frame.
Great video where to find the wooden base
Does one swivel base kit work for all recliners

You can just use some cut down wooden blocks, just make them larger than spring gap.
Where can i get the wood top frame base?

I made spring blocks 1 3/8" (35mm). Worked great.
Very helpful. Thank you. My unit tilts forward, how do you install front spacers? Thanks Jim.
Install some washers between the swivel plate and upper base
My wife just asked me to do this. Great video.
I feel your pain, brother......

Sits low in front. To raise it, what size washers, how thick and how many? Thanks

Just need to replace a broken swivel piece that broke in two. Ideas?
Can you tell me where you purchased your swivel base . I have a lazy boy recliner and want to change over to swivel base

How expensive the swivel base. Can you purchase it trough lazy boy?
Usually from 1-200$ it all depends on the dealership and their costs
Anything I can do about a lazboy that already has a swivel base but it just spins on its own when you're sitting in it.
Where do you purchase swivel assembly
Contact your local lazboy to buy parts
Where can I buy the swivel base kit?

Thank you so much you saved my account !
@Junior Castiel glad I could help =)
Will this Swivel Base setup work on Non La-Z-Boy Rockers???
No

What size are the spacers? None are provided in the box.
They are a "homemade" tool technicians just make from wood, just make them bigger than the spring gap
I cannot for the life of me figure out how the spacers work. Can someone show a video?
What are the names of the two parts you install in this video?
Upper swivel base and lower swivel base

@@DavidJohnson-pq1by it can be ordered all together by your local dealership
We ordered a swivel base on ours, but we don’t like it. Where can we order a regular base?
Call the local dealer, if its just a swivel base, and not a gliding swivel it can be changed over. They should have them free

Look at the cheap chipboard frame with the sides stapled on. I refuse to buy any more of these chairs. The last one fell apart in 1.5 years.
