I have one of these and I like it. Pro Tip: to deflate those valves quickly, simply take the tip off the hose and insert it until the valve opens. Viola!
Does it come with the adorable first mate? 🤣 Thanks for an honest review! I'm definitely considering one for a weekend camping trip at the lake. Regular kayak rental nearby is $50-60 a partial day.... This seems a much better, more economic option, considering future trips.
Aww, thanks for the kind comment, I will share with my first mate :) Yes, I agree, this will work well for your weekend camping trips at a lake over a rental! It will pay for itself fairly quickly if you consider it vs renting.
Sweet I just received mines today! Being a shore fisherman for 24 years, I’m finally going to be able to explore the waters more now and hopefully it increases my chances of catching more fish! Now I can take it everywhere with me since I have a small car. Thanks for the review although I do have a question for you. How do you like the seats that came with it?
This is great news... I think you're going to love having an inflatable kayak to explore more and get where you want to! I have been using them for many years and still throw it in the back of my civic from time to time. So the seats that came with it will take some adjusting and getting used to. I found that you need good tension on the straps for back support to make it comfortable for myself. Also, when I get in and out a lot (for exploring and bank fishing) you may need to adjust them when you get back in because sometimes they pop up and may get out of place. Also, I found out that when you are in the kayak sitting on them and they are out of sync or a little uncomfortable I need to push both my hands into the bottom of the kayak like I'm doing a "dip exercise" to lift my bottom up and get back into the seat properly. You'll have to play around with them a little to get them where they are comfortable for you. Also, I found that I like to paddle around on my knees every now and then to break up the time I'm sitting in the seat. One last thing... let me know if you test paddling with it with the skeg in and out. We've been testing that lately... the skeg should help you track straighter in the water although when you have it in place you may bottom out easier in shallow water. Hope this helps and let us know how you like it! :)
@@jamminjamyoutdoors sweet thanks for the info! I’ll keep you updated when I test it out this Saturday at my local pond! Super excited! I also plan on getting stadium seats for the kayak just to improve the ride of the kayak as some people recommend it.
I haven't used it much in the wind yet since I don't usually go kayaking on windy days. I would assume it performs similar to other inflatable kayaks when it is windy. It does have one skeg that will help it track a little straighter. When I was on the lake a few weeks ago the wind did pick up for a a little while I was fishing and I just let it push me around. The kayak just casually drifted and did a few rotations since I wasn't paddling. Thanks for the question!
At the front of the kayak, I have a hole in a similar position as the one in the back which is used to drain water. Should there be a hole at the front or is my one defected? I don’t have a plug or anything to fit in the front
Hmmm... @OneManTagTeam, I'm not sure off the top of my head? I will have to take a look and let you know since it's been a while since I've had it out. I couldn't find any info about it online as well.

@CJaimesMusic, Thanks for this tip, I'm excited to try that, I really appreciate it! :)

Great, let us know how it works out. That will be interesting to try the stadium seats!
How does it perform in the wind? Is it only suitable for fairly calm days?
