    Bro. Tim is a gospel legend, and Bro. Scott is doing a fine job of filling his shoes. Saw them recently at Coteau Baptist Church in Houma, LA. and had a great time of worship.

      Brian Rayburn , Chris voice timber, in my opinion has more weight, timber, fuller. That being said, I don't know his age, but am sure he's a young man n has a great future for development. Let's say, Chris is an all "natural" bass singer, ie, Big John Hall.

    Enjoyed them at the Whisnant's Annual Homecoming in Morganton, NC a few weekends ago. Had a great time listening to them and the other groups there, Friday and Saturday.

    They perform this song fantastically. well. Are they before or after Aaron Mccune?
    From this group I only know Tim Rilley's son. (Danny?)

      Chris west is the bass singer here and he came after Aaron McCune. And yes Tim’s sons name is Daniel

      Oh my gosh.. I thought I recognized that tremendous voice! He looks a little different than he did last time I saw him, maybe more than 10 yrs ago. He was singing with another quartet, I believe Mercy's Mark. We never forgot that voice, arguably the best in Southern Gospel, and wondered about him many times. We're so glad he's singing with the best! Great fit!

      He sounds just like Tim Riley to me.

    • @chowman007
      @chowman007 6 років тому

      DavesNotHere56, the register is there however I think he has more resonance (timber/depths) than Riley. Aaron McClure was heading that way too but for whatever reason, he either stoped or went a different route.

    I am huge Gold City fan but Chris is pitchy here. Love the guy but the in ears are seemingly hurting him on a very easy vocal song.

    • @frankosborne8167
      @frankosborne8167 3 роки тому

      You're an idiot for making a ridiculously stupid comment that disrespects Gold City's best bass.. pitchy? Not even close dude. Sounds like you're just being bitchy...

    • @theterriblegamer01
      @theterriblegamer01 3 роки тому

      @@frankosborne8167 I agree with the original comment, I have heard him sing before and he is definitely reaching for that note, I have heard him hit it other times with no issues at all though. It could be that he just had an off night.

      I do have to wonder how much of that is due to technological advances, though? The Cathedrals released their version in 1999, whereas this was published in 2016...
