    Did you notice any improvement in power with the K&N? Any reduction in torque? Any lean popping?

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  7 місяців тому +1

      I actually noticed a tiny, tiny increase in intake sound, and the most minimal increase in torque. I did notice a significant difference in power lineage, as now the power comes on much easier and more linearly. And yes, some lean popping, but to be fair, my bike has always lean popped a bit. It's just the way they are in the USA!

  • @NuvolariF1

    K&N is the way to go. Since it is reusable, the savings you you get can go on other parts you need. The performance gains also. Btw, can you do the ton on your bike. On your track day session I think I only saw a little over 90mph on your dash. Take care.

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  Рік тому +1

      I totally agree! My bike's top speed is only 104 mph, but I've hit 106 before and done pretty much every performance mod you can think of, save an aftermarket ECU, which is on my list. Thanks for the comment!

      @@MotoRevs I am thinking of the RC390 or R3 for track. The Panigale V2 would be nice.

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  Рік тому

      Obviously, I'd be biased towards the RC390, but I have to say the R3 is an absolutely great bike! Of course, if your budget allows, the Panigale V2 would be a sweet treat on road and track.

      @@MotoRevs I do have the budget for the V2. I'm thinking that it's a bike I can grow into plus it will be a keeper. Ducati has been my favorite mark. We'll see. R3s. R3s are readily available, Rc390 I love the color scheme and it's a purpose built track bike but the availability is non existence it is a rare bike, V2s are also low and London waiting list. Any bikes that comes in are already spoken for.

    Hi, i just put a 390 motor inside a ktm duke 125 frame, would i need any other parts to make it safe?

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  2 місяці тому

      Wow, that's a project. That's really cool! Technically, since the 125, 250, and 390 all share the exact same frame, I don't really think you'd need anything else except suspension parts to accommodate the heavier weight. But, don't take my word for it! This is just me giving you my 2 cents worth of knowledge. So, technically, you should be fine, but take that with a grain of salt. Good luck with this! That's a really cool challenge you're taking on.

    Hey is it required to change my air filter after getting an full system exhaust.. vice versa. Is ecu flash compulsory or it's fine after changing both air filter and exhaust

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  5 місяців тому

      Well, like I've told many other of my viewers, I can't guarantee you don't have to do either, but it's recommended. Some say the bike may run too lean without a tune, mainly in the USA, though, due to emissions. I'd do some proper research, as I don't believe I'm qualified to give you advice in this specific situation.

      @@MotoRevs I have been digging into this for quite a while now. It seems that west people don't like these performance air filter as much. But would go ahead and install full system.. But in India people or people with high end bikes talk you have to get your air filter changed after getting an full system. Without tune but there's O2 sensor.. idk which would be better.. as I was confused if I had to upgrade air filter after an full system.

    • @MotoRevs

      Yes! K&N uses the same part number for their filters for the 125 and 390.

    Hi , do you think install K&N air filter and Coober Airbox lid without aftermarket ECU is a good for my KTM 390 ? I'm plan to do that but still confused! Need some advice. Thanks

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  Рік тому +1

      Honestly, if you have that much airflow going into the bike on a stock tune, it could potentially cause it to run even leaner than factory. Pair that with an aftermarket exhaust, and you are putting your engine in jeopardy. I'd recommend getting just the filter or the airbox lid, and until you get a tune only keep one or the other. I'd recommend only installing both when you can tune the bike, and fully take advantage of the extra airflow rushing into the bike. This is mostly what I've read from the forums and friends. Hope this helps!

      @phucnguyen27 Рік тому +1

      @@MotoRevs Thank you for an advice, I had one more question. Im running sc project exhaust with chamber delete. Which is the most you recommended for the best tune? Airbox lid or K&N air filter. Thank you in an advance

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  Рік тому +1

      I think the K&N would be a much better choice, and that's exactly what I did. I wanted the filter and the airbox lid, but since I don't have a tune, I chose the K&N air filter for more airflow and power, and the airbox lid actually breathes in way too much air for a stock tune, even with a stock air filter.
