I am definitely worried about that ND OL without Jagusah. But A&M has a new HC and went 7-6 last year. So context is pretty important. Meanwhile ND has a new OC who fielded the #1 offense and won a Heisman last year. Plus A&M is favored by 3 now, I think ND thrives as an underdog and won't surprise me at all if they beat A&M, hopefully convincingly and go 11-1.
I just hope that strength of schedule plays a big roll in the selection process. Not all conference schedules are built the same. Oregon has the 15th toughest schedule in the B1G, while USC has the 3rd hardest SOS. In the SEC Texas has the 14th ranked SEC schedule compared to OU that has the 3rd ranked SOS. If they finish 1 game apart, will that finally be a considerable factor?
Notre Dame is in such a bad spot for this game. if they win this game shows like this we’ll just say Texas A&M wasn’t a good team brand new coach they did what they were supposed to do. Losing Jagusah just capped it. With that said, ND has relied on an elite OL with mediocre skill talent for decades; this year is the opposite. We have weapons everywhere. Maybe the results will flip as well - we haven’t had an elite offense since probably 2005.

They usually get ranked between #6-#15 team, which I think they have a right to be rated. Over the last 7 years they've had a minimum 9 wins per season. Their schedule is also not the toughest in the world, but also not a cupcake schedule. They always seem to have 3-4 ranked opponents per season which is pretty good. The few years they have made the playoffs they do lose their game, but that's because they either face the #1 or the #2 team in the nation, which we have already established should be better than Notre Dame. I don't see this year's team as a top 5 team, but they should be a top 12. They already showed they can win vs a top 25 opponent as an away team (game against Texas A&M). And if they beat another 2-3 ranked opponents before the end of the season and end up with an undefeated or one loss season, then it's hard to argue they are overrated as a top 10 team in the nation.

A deep, talented and well coached RB room.
The injury to Jordan Travis is not what kept FSU out of the playoffs last year. It was conference bias and an agenda by the talking heads and now everyone is softening their take from last year saying this kind of garbage. Ten players drafted and a couple of walk-ons is much more than a quarterback. Over twenty post season ACC awards to different players of FSU last year shows the real bias that you and others played last year. It will not be forgotten nor forgiven. FSU will finish what they were not allowed to do last year. Over-rated, talk more than two-three SEC teams or B1G teams. Over-rated -> talking heads

Notre Dame is the most hyped-up overrated team every single year. And they're not alone. Penn St and Texas immediately come to mind, as do Miami and USC. There are others as well, but these are the teams that immediately come to mind. They're big brands, and I get that, but what have they done lately? It is more of a wish list for most than a reality. And, sadly, I truly believe you will see this bias within the new 12 team playoff format. Brands sell and that is the bottom line in college football.
