I used to have a radio that read in this fashion. The right to left is a throwback to older times when the frequency was listed in meters. I had a couple of Grundig radios including one from the 1970s that were printed in this way.

The Oncheer cabinet size is spot on. The speaker could stand to be mounted on center of the grill space as should be
for the aesthetics and if the speaker size was boosted from 2 inch to 2 1/2 inch instead, that could even be much better.
With a cabinet that size, you could probably work in a passive woofer in the rearward space. You'd have to raise the solar
cell some to hear the passive woofer. When I first saw this one on Amazon, I thought that it was so near to being but.t
ugly and the brand label just doesn't give it any justice either. A lot of these radios in appearance either look to small or
not big enough, but I've got to say that the size of the radio is spot on! One other experiment to see whether it would
perform a wee bit better would be to raise the operating voltage upwards into .6 of a volt whereas the nominal voltage
is 3.8 volts, thus boosting the voltage to 4.2 volts nominal and see what happen. That popping noise from the internal
dial cord and/or the dial pointer when you try to dial in the station is damned annoying for me! With the installation of
an antenna jack for the A.M. band would also be a must for me! The internal ferrite is by far the most rot gut and I would
need a long ferrite just like what was used on those Channel Master/Sanyo radios to really make this one hum along. I
just wish that most of these manufacturer's would go back to making Superheterodyne A.M.'s and also follow through
with some good F.M. circuitry such as when the first radio's on a chip that also had PLL circuitry to lock in that tuning.
I do love my Channel Master A.M. radios so much that I have at least 8 in my collection. Each and every one of them
perform well, as should be. The key take away is that the folks in Japan really know how to build their radios and this
is why I own so many of them. My collection isn't huge YET but it could be! My first pocket radio was a Channel Master
6503 given to me for Christmas when I was 8 y.o. It got lost out in the snow accidently and the water damage did it a
damn damn! So in my later years, I did find one to replace it plus a second one for spare parts but both of them work.
@Todd, I did buy the buy the Retekess V115 and I must say that the F.M. band and sound IS very good but the A.M. band
is almost silent since I live in a valley with high fringe and mountains around me. I didn't used to be that way. I did purchase
the XDATA D-901X and I'm glad to have been a hold out for it since it is an improvement over tthe D-901. The reception isn't
that great and I will address that here real soon. I'm still glad that I held out for the W.B. Edition since it really is a a good
upgrade and improvements made along the way. Thanks Todd for your continued efforts while helping us to pick out some
    of these little gems!

For volume, Tone, Bass controls use DeOxit Fader Formula. For switches use normal DeOxit D5. I buy mine from Amazon, but a Music store may sell it.
