- BioFuel Alternatives, Ltd. seeks to leverage the biofuel industry by producing fuel from non-food crops in a socially and ecologically acceptable manner. Specifically, we will produce biodiesel fuel from castor seed plants specially developed to provide higher yields.
What kind of castor plant and what the destant between each plant? and how much seed do you harvest, please?

Hi there , I am an Harvesting contractor based in Zimbabwe , I have been approached to harvest castor beans , so am just doing some homework . The head you used to harvest the beans , is it just a standard maize head , or have you modified it to catch the pods ? I imagine that there will be a lot of residue from the plants going through the machine that you will have to pressure wash the inside of the combine fairly regularly during the day , is that a correct assumption ? This video is a few year old now , are you still using the same harvesting system ? I have seen some videos where the farmers are using cotton pickers to harvest the pods and then they shell the pods later in a sheller. Any info would be great , thanks .
