Luke P. In the original edit, I talk about the mosses but it messed up the flow of the video... any how the missed i use are java moss, low growing tropical moss, and tropical liverwort....
Been getting into vivariums lately and been trying to find content to learn. You've got one of the best channels out there for them. Educational, good production value, and quality setups. Thanks for providing content for us and keep it up!
Really nice tank that 180! I was going to ask about what mosses are kicking ass in there but Java moss, tropical liverwort I see mentioned below. Thanks.
My Marcgravia sintenisii almost died, thing is it seems to need both regular misting and also plenty of ventilation and finally I got that situation sorted with new fans which means heck the breaks are of I'm misting 6 times a day now and plants are actually able to somewhat dry off.
There's some other types of Philodendron Verrucosum that stay small to 3 to 5 inches called Verrucosum Purple and Verrucosum dwarf or sometimes call mini . Good video . Subscribed / New Stalker 🥰
question about your moss. What type of moss do you use and how do you apply it to the tank? I have tried the harvested ground floor moss with great success however when I used java moss for the walls it died off. Since I am new to vivariums was wondering if there is a specific moss for the walls that wouldn't need 100% humidity like many of the aquarium mosses do.
Hi. Great video! Have been meaning to ask you about that one tank with huge amounts of ficus oak leaf. Do you recommend the plant be planted in the substrate and allowed to crawl up? Or planted/attached on the backgroind up top and allowed to drape down? Thanks!
Awesome Viv! What’s the humidity like in the big tank? And also, how often and for how long do your misters go off? Trying to do what I can to get mine looking like that!!
Very nice Troy. So what you don't know some of the names. You sure know how to grow them. Any ideas on how to get rid of fungus gnats without harming the springtails and isopods?
Did that Biophytum "Ecuador" actually grow from the trunk she sits on or was the whole pant just secured to the top of it to look like a little tree? Thanks for your help since without it I wouldn't be here
I bought a Begonia Listada online that took 9 days to arrive, and when I opened the package it was almost dead, the leaves has fallen off the plant and it was only a stump left of the plant. I have planted it in the vivarium along with the leaves that came off, I hope it will come back to life. Have you encountered this with any plant you ordered online? And did it come back when you planted it?
where can you order these or some of these plants I need them for my frogs and cannot find any one selling them. Would like them shipped no place in my town to purchase thanks love your videos
I’m a little confused, I love the look of that dwarf African violet but this doesn’t remotely resemble what comes up when you google that. Do you know the Latin name?
Wow, thanks for replying so fast! I think it’s just because the young leaves look so different from the full growth that got confused. Do these ever flower for you? Btw, your enclosures are stunning! I might have to wrangle your brain for a few plants I spied in here. I’ve only just discovered your channel though so I’m going on a binge!
You meant single leaf cutting with a 'node' for that Syngonium rayii to propagate. You cannot grow an aroid like how you can easily grow some peperomias by single leaf.
Jan Krzemiński just springtails, all my tanks are seeded with various types of springtails, and isopods. Tanks are loaded with microfauna... or should I say tanks are very bioactive lol
"I'm not a plant expert"
Has the most beautiful plant collection that I've ever seen
Hahaha thanks
great video, jumping plant to plant was awesome. thanks for the chapters too!
Awesome tour, I’d love to see more about the mosses and liverworts you have!

@@TroyGoldberg hey look at that, in one of your newer videos you said that you'd never reveal your moss and well, here they are 🤣
Won’t reveal my source

Scott Deaube java moss, low growing tropical. Moss, tropical liverwort

I realize it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good place to watch new movies online ?
Can you show how you attach your bromeliads to your vivarium wall?
I'm floored..... this is amazing
So so helpful!! I wondered what half the plants were and I'm.setting up a small scale vivarium so this helped loads thank you!!
Totally f#$$ awesome dude!.. Love your vids.. Please keep em coming
Beautiful! How do you go about fertilising them?
Looking forward to an updated favourite plants list next year!
Really nice tank that 180! I was going to ask about what mosses are kicking ass in there but Java moss, tropical liverwort I see mentioned below. Thanks.
Nice video! Lot's of cool plants, I might have to send you a few plants I didn't see that should be in your collection.
Really like that little 'tree' in the middle at 1:42
Edit : just saw you mentioning it, haha
Awesome! I’ve been dying for you to do a video like this. This way I don’t have to harass you. Haha. Tanks look amazing.
What are the moss types you have covering this setup ?
What an AWESOME video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge :)
Great job Troy!
ffreaking stunning
Thanks!

That’s the one I have... the dwarf
Troy Goldberg how do you process you bromeliads and other plants before adding them?

Those are some AMAZING vivariums!

Keisuke Omi it can be used either way... personally I like it better on the BG and drape down.
@@TroyGoldberg Cool cool. Thanks!
Really appreciated this video! Good job man 🙌

Roger Mims haha right!? So I’ve had fungus gnats before from time to time... i usually just ignore them and eventually they go away.
No shit?@@TroyGoldberg
Do you know the name of the mosses on the left branch and do you use riccia fluitans is it a good moss?
How old is your Biophytum. Do seedlings rapidly get tall like that?
Stunning 😮
Did that Biophytum "Ecuador" actually grow from the trunk she sits on or was the whole pant just secured to the top of it to look like a little tree? Thanks for your help since without it I wouldn't be here
I planted it close by there, and it just sorta grew where it wanted too
Did you glue the moss and liverworts where you wanted them?
Some of it, I mainly just place it where I want

I can send you a garbage full of it
Nice vid mate
when you made the 180 did you use the same thickness of glass as your others or did you go thicker?
Cody McMillan I didn’t make the 180. But the guy who dod... used 1/4 in the tank, and 1” on the doors, and 3/8” on the bottom
For this build did you use hygrolon? Or is it just all on a foam background?
There’s hygrolon
hey i was wondering if you also used a dripping wall system in this 180 gallon setup? great vid tho keep it up :D
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Beautiful !!
B roll was on point! Great Video!
Nice video, any tips on how to grow magravia? My little clip a bought 3 months ago has not grow , thanks
thanks!, ummm make sure it has a decent amount of light and don't let it dry out....mine spreads like wild fire
What type of mosses do you use?
Joshua Brewer java moss, low growing tropical moss, tropical liverwort
Would caladium do well in a tropical vivarium? I love the way they look but don’t want to buy one and have it die. I’m also looking at Rex begonias.
Not sure
Begonia Rex will grow like wildfire in a properly setup vivarium
@@TroyGoldberg oh perfect! I’m needing a larger plant to fill the top of my tank. How do they do with light?
Pretty much everything grows really well for
Me, with just standard led shoplights
@@TroyGoldberg I have a grow light from homedepot. Are the plants light sensitive? I don’t want it to burn
Love it man!
thanks dude!
thank you this was great!!
Where do you find the high voltage?
I would love to know where I could get some of that tropical liverwort.
honestly I wish I did too.. so i Could buy it all and sell it to all of you!! LOL
how much did it cost to set the WHOLE thing up? Im just wondering bc I wanna do something like this in the future
Not entirely sure, a couple thousand bucks
@@TroyGoldberg that’s quite a few bucks. Thanks for letting me know. I just wanted to get an idea of what I’d be saving up for

Hi can you say what the name off the red frog is?
Nice tank bro
B I O | A C T I V E
How big is that beautiful viv?
48x24x36 -180 gallons
Damn that was fast :D Thanks! :)
Do you use fans in your vivariums?
No
quercifolia means nothing else but oak-leafed. quercus = genus of oaks. folia = leafes.
. . . . . . Kayyyyy?
I’m a little confused, I love the look of that dwarf African violet but this doesn’t remotely resemble what comes up when you google that. Do you know the Latin name?
Because the majority of the pics are going to be focusing on the flower.... and not the leaves...

Haha! You said bioactive!
Tim Bradley yeah I’ve been mocking the word on UA-cam for about 2 months now.
Do u sell any of your plants
What's the name of the vine at 6:48?
I actually don’t know... I got it from
A friend who just gave me a bunch of stuff in a ziplock back
I figured it out. It's an Aeschynanthus spec. Maybe an lobbianus.
Oh awesome! Thanks!
Where u get your plants
Glassboxtropicals
I see bioactive, i click
Btw. Do you culture any other feeder than fruit flies?
Jan Krzemiński just springtails, all my tanks are seeded with various types of springtails, and isopods. Tanks are loaded with microfauna... or should I say tanks are very bioactive lol
how the FUCK do you get these plants and mosses to grow on branches!?!?!?
