Want to find out how reiki can support your cancer journey? Join Usui Reiki Master Teacher Sharon Rivet to learn more about this holistic healing system. Reiki is currently being used as complementary care in cancer centers like Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins. Reiki can help manage pain and stress, strengthen immune system function, and energize the whole body. With Sharon’s guidance, we’ll cultivate a deeper awareness of our own energy through a few reiki exercises selected especially for the WM community. Come with all your reiki questions for Sharon, who was diagnosed with WM in 2018.
Bio: Sharon Rivet, E-RYT 500, is a Kripalu-certified Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher and certified Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Teacher. She has been practicing yoga for over 30 years, and has additional training in yoga therapy. Sharon is devoted to offering modifications and alternate tools for students managing physical limitations, as well as reiki for promoting relaxation and healing. Prior to her retirement in 2017, Sharon worked at UnitedHealthcare as Director of Quality and Training.
Sharon was diagnosed with WM in 2018, and used her yoga and reiki background to support her through treatment and for the ups and downs of WM. She volunteers on the Ed Forum Planning Committee, Support Group Leader Regional Contact, and is the ambassador to Lymphoma Research Foundation and BeiGene Patient Advocacy Council.
