It always felt incomplete when Billy said we need to have some law and order. Billy just leaves it felt like what happened with that they should have left that scene in where Billy comes back avenging his friend.
I have the director’s cut on DVD. I can confirm the only scene that didn’t get reincorporated into the movie is the scene with Billy Breckinridge. I personally feel that all these scenes are vital to the overall story.
I’m 24, and just now becoming obsessed with this movie. I probably watch it about 30 times in the past month. And I simply cannot comprehend how the Director thought it was OK to cut out these things that would’ve made the story have much more detail. The length of the movie should not negate the importance of scenes.
One of my favorite westerns along with. Hombre, The Good, the bad and the ugly, The Magnificent Seven, High Noon, The Hanging Tree, Silverado, Once upon a time in the west. I think Tombstone may be my favorite.
We NEED that 3hr version!!

ah... let him go.

Same as the McMasters scene when he goes to talk to Ringo.
@@ShortStuffMegs21 That scene is in the Director’s Cut.
There is also a scene where Billy Breckenridge kills Claiborne and Fuller.
What a fun movie it was and it’s still holds up today!

Movie studios have a lot to see.

Val Kilmer should have won an oscar
“Kind words to say to me before I run away” is a quote of the theme of Gunfight at the OK Corral!
The last great Western. Mr. Cosmatos, thank you!
Sad is that movies like this well never be made again.
I'd like to see that three hour cut.
I remember the original trailer showed Jason Priestly raising his rifle to someone.
Same.
how the heck did jason get a part in this movie lol
I've never heard it discussed. But, Marshal White was a young man in real life. I've always wondered if Jason P. was originally cast to be Fred.
What Happens to the scene by the River were Val holds Kurt in his arms
I have the 12 inch LaserDisc version of this and have been looking for a working player but can't find one that is available for loan or rent.
In that trailer they should've added, and Billy Bob Thornton, just before he got Will Smithed.
So is there a full uncut version anywhere
Man that's what I'm wondering. I'd pay big money for that 3 hr version!
There's still missing scenes. George and Russell destroyed the original script.
