Nice! I still fly mine. I upgraded the entire frame and head to a Rakon heli aluminum and carbon fiber set up. I am also rocking some Rakon heli fiberglass canopies.
I had one of these and beat the absolute crap out of it lol. for the time, it was amazing that a micro heli had the amount of punch and power it had. My grandfather bought it for me!
I have one nib and after hearing my neighbors drone, I grabbed the dx6i looking for good settings so I don't crash and burn. It's been years since I flew any of my Blade or Walkera CP helis. The first Mcpx non brushless was a handful imo.
stil got mine had 5 at one point got wrid of the new version and kept the old one .must get it out for a fly lol allthough the omp is much better these are great for learning and they are nice and light .
what ever you do dont get the tail motor wet, i cant explain it in this but it will screw up the fets . but ya the first bl flys more like a bigger heli of that day than the new one does
I still have mine from 2014 and still fly it. What is the different with BL2 compare to the original besides the tail motor? The stock transmitter program uses 40% expo. I turned mine down to 30% or less.
Just about everything is different actually. It only uses a few parts from the original. The flight controller is so much better, it’s much more enjoyable to fly compared to the original.
I like the IX14, but I’m still happy with my DX9 & NX10. I use my NX10 for airplanes and DX9 for helis so I won’t get an IX14 soon. I also preordered a Traxxas XRT so yeah that was expensive 🤣

So cool to see one of these still going strong.
i like this heli, especially with any Metall upgrades, but with stock Motors and Electronics. Flight very well.

This is off-topic, but will you plan on getting an iX14? If you will, can you make a video about it?

I have a Trex 650x Dominator 12s with MX800 440KV , what should motor timing be, 5 or 15?
The default timing is fine.
