Also tip: you can steal power from the trading stations to recharge your batteries 😉 if you have more batteries than the trading station can supply power, the shield goes down and you can take over the station... 😇

When digging this longer tunnels with a worm like miner, i dont even try to back up. I just mine another tunnel going slightly up. Then i put a tower going up with a strobing light on top at both ends of the tunnel to help locate where my tunnels are. Dont worry about turning around in your tunnel, thats a good way to waste ores, break a thruster, or even worse, a tank if you're not careful :)
28:30 Safe zones do prevent damage... I love to crash face first into them, but you can get bounced in pretty nasty ways sometimes D:
@47:40, TROUBLE. The _JumpJack_ looks like it is almost on top of one of the ventral(?🤔) hydrogen thrusters, one of the downward pushing ones. It was hard to tell from the video, but you should double check to see how much clearance it has.

Interior is pressurized (but does not have an effective airlock, add a door to make a workable airlock)
Cockpit is not piped for air, replace with DLC Industrial Cockpit for easy fix. If you don't have the DLC, another possible fix is to replace the doors with the standard cockpit, and place the ship entrance at the bottom.
@30:03: I would love if you could pick what ship you start with, but its cost would be subtracted from your starting balance, causing you to go negative. Negative balance (credit / loan) should run up interest (configurable) and going too far into debt (value configurable) should cause game loss / loss of all grids (configurable).
Would make an interesting start for large capable ship but deep in debt.
Also would love if the progression system could be locked behind buying new blueprints / tech.
This sounds almost Firefly in nature; i like it!
Life goals, make a ship so big you can have landing gear on pistons you could mine out rock from under a station and haul the actual station around with you.

Next time transfer is easier when you disable collect all and just click everything back to the ship and then build a new connector before the sorter 😊
May I request that you go with an asteroid base instead of a moon base, as you mentioned in your last video? We saw a moon base in the last series, and I personally am interested to see what you do in zero g. Just a thought, but it is something I'd be interested in seeing. :)
You use a grav gen to have Gravity
@@Lobster09090 that gives gravity for you but for your builds it might remove some restrictions if you build in zero g
You should take that idea of not starting any grids a step farther and kit bash everything. Only building the pieces in between the chunks you want to use.

You won't fly off into space with the down thrusters off. You'd have to tip the nose up over the horizon. That low on the moon, you don't have enough velocity to escape the moon's gravity. I turn them off and just tap the forward thruster every once in a while in case I've bled off any forward speed. It really conserves a lot of fuel. If you have an auto leveling script, you can basically orbit the planet several times before losing any significant forward speed.
If you don't want the connector to steal everything. You can turn off "collect all" in the options menu for the connector... Just a tip
Hey this is OldSirRiddler here just letting you know a little too about the economy mod of the game if you check the inventory on a bed in a station you can find money in them, good luck and safe flights.
I find that thrusters downwards is good for low gravity planet. Like that thing in Armageddon. It's call a survival kit. You just survived some event that killed everyone excluding you. Maybe Capac and Cyanide has PTSD. Funny if you spent 300 mil to buy a huge ship and it came only as a shell. Empty inside and even engines are missing. You need to switch off drain all on that side and drain all on this side.
I guess eventually I'll learn lost another ship to Earths gravity well. Ion is only good for zero gravity and you must give planets a stupidly wide berth when travelling around them.
Is it an option to disable the drill particle effect so that your not blinded when drilling?
Check Splitsie mod maybe u like it.
These are the questions that need to have a vanilla fix. Atleast make a fewer particles button😂
hopefully the parking of the ship above that thruster at the end wont rip it apart... But I do belive as long as ships are docked thruster acts in a different way
noticed due to the dampeners the ship is using up hydrogen when he is docked at the station :P

You should look into buying and selling example but something from on station and sell it at another that will buy for a higher price
It's funny how much cheaper these ships are now.
Why does the trade station you run into have stuff to sell but I never found one that has anything to sell I play on survival
I can get 1 million credits easily in 25 - 30 mins time just by selling motors(had 3 traders that would buy motors nearby helped) so 10 million 4.25 - 5 hours of work would be easy!
Never sell your stuff 1st, always check if a mission needs it 1st! The missions pay far more then just selling them outright!
Also, as you do both contracts & sell/buy items with fractions, your rep increases & as it increases, they give discounts to you!
You might want to turn your small ship 1st because that hydrogen thruster is going to burn it!
The kite miner will not function properly on the moon or in any gravity zone.
What mod do you use to pick the specific components of the thing you want to build from a container?

i tryed the earth hated it tryed space loved it. wish never found that pesky altf10.. but i just started a new moon/stock rover.. no cheating this time. Rover is useless but grinding off the only hydr trustier for a grate was my bad. but im making progress . I think im gonna go this route . but i have a small base so i can build a ship took apart the rover.
Did you change any economie settings ? Cause when I did à survival with the mod list of s2 the blue embasador only cost around 40mil.

Keep the older ships in the workshop, but if you can rename them to include "(outdated)" in the name.
This might be a stupid question but why do you not have to weld the drills yourself?
He has a mod on called Build and Repair, its just a module on the ship that welds stuff for you.
So far I have not found any miners for purchase with decent (or any) cargo containers.
I rebuilt alot of those ships before the economy update and now all of that time was wasted (because they used to be those wrecks)
How does your ship automatically weld the things?
I watched most of the video to find out if they sell you blueprints or if they gave you an actual ship. I mean I wouldn't mind the blueprint but still.

Rovers feel a bit hit and miss for me I mean they are fast and fun but the game is to hilly for a driver like me where I would destroy my vehicle because I was just going to fast and this is an the earth like planet the crash I made was so bad that practically nothing but a crater is left lol

Space start already gives you a ion ship. I don't get why they don't get every land start the moon rover like they do for the Luna start. But yea your "starting" ship is kind of OP and should never be the norm.
yes I agree but he has a lot of things considered op and I don't think this playthrough is about balance but more so about exploring the economy update and experiencing the game through an alternate approach
