What the hell? I have never seen a channel with so many positive comments... In fact, I cannot find any negative comments. This speaks volumes as to your style of videography. Love your Channel, keep it up.
Thanks for the updates. I love that you have been consistent with uploads despite what I assume is a busy personal life. Please keep it up. You are inspiring people whether you know it or not. God bless.
Kris Wright- I am a Mustie1 fan also. It's funny, I just suggested to Mustie that he do simple wiring diagrams to show what he is doing and then I discover this channel where he is doing exactly that. I love these channels. I learn a LOT.
Couple others already suggested it... I highly recommend switching to LED's where ever you can. They are so cheap these days, and since you like to build things you could make your own LED boards if you want. That battery will deal with LED's NO problem.
I actually like the electrical stuff as much as the mechanical. Also, that hole you drilled will not affect the structural integrity. And your guage cluster does kinda look like my head.
I love how goofy this couple is yet obviously he is a pretty skilled mechanic. Don't let him fool you, he knows very well what he is doing to get these bikes working :D Also, the wifey is super hot :D Great youtube channel.
ive only recently found this channel but i cant stay away now ! ive watched all the kdx build, the trail 90 and the Rukus. the chemistry between you both makes for addictive viewing.
Please don't fear doing something that might be boring to your dedicated viewers. We love experiencing your genius and Jennies glorious humor and patience. You guys could make brushing teeth and cleaning the fish tank interesting, and the whole time making me believe that I too can accomplish something. I WANT MORE, MORE, MORE I SAY !
That pop sound, when you put the battery holder in is the most pleasing sound after that hard days work And the beauty and simplicity of an analog tachometer is hard for many to understand Looking forward to the corvette build Love and regards from india
Yet another brilliant episode.. I think I would have made a plate (1/8” aluminium?) to take the speedo/tach unit, which would go under the handlebar mounts, saving you from drilling holes and weakening the triple clamp. It would have put the unit a little further forward, but allowed you to choose the viewing angle by bending the plate. I made something similar on my Chinese 125 to shift the speedo/tach to a better viewing angle. You two are great together, what a YT format! One of my all time favourite channels, I watch and rewatch all your motorcycle episodes. Thanks. Les in UK
Richard Cockerill Well, I don’t see why I have to defend my opinion, but still... I think the whole channel is great because it’s got me back into motorcycling and motorcycle fettling after almost fifty years. Also it has taught me plenty about mechanic-ing older bikes, but more modern than those I used to ride. It is also an amusing and entertaining channel. As I said, brilliant (or ‘enlightening’ if you prefer’), and this episode is as good as many of the others. OK? Now, this is another man’s channel so lets not take up any more of his space for daft discussions. Les
Excellent work with this build! I just finished binge watching the whole playlist! :) Thanks for sharing! It looks like you only have a few small things left :-)
I love those KDX Videos. Just take your time. I personally can learn a lot by watching you fixing things and creating something new. Just do your thing. Greetings from Germany!
I started with the generac at the cabin at 5p.m , read comments, made comments, subs cribed, then a couple of scooters, trail 90 to 125 conversion and now this Kawolski that is kicking your butt. It is now 1:30 a.m. I need you finish this mess so I can get some sleep! Great videos. Thanks.
Just finished a 94 KDX 200 frame off build and it runs like crap.May have to buy a carb as you did.Hope they don't try the ole "switch er roo" on me.Thanks for sharing you knowledge
Just buy it from a authorized dealer, not eBay, and you should be fine. Too many people gets scammed on eBay, and I don't know why people are still buying their stuff from there?!
The term for the stator modification is called floating the ground. People seem upset about the hole,. I'm like you in that we'll find out how it works when it's ridden. I'm impressed by the factory snap of the install of the battery box! Well done! The bike is coming together!
Hello from England. Just spent the weekend watching through some if your back catalogue and projects. I found them all really informative and entertaining. Your videos just seem to get better and better. I love how you and Jen interact and her witty commentary has me laughing out loud. Can't wait to see where the KDX goes and what you'll end up working on next. Cheers
I had a KDX 200 back in the day and loved it! Rode the crap out of it and it never quit on me. Here in my state I was able to tag it with out an inspection so no turn signals or speedo and rode it to my riding areas without much problem. Got stopped one time and the officer was pretty cool about it, was more interested in the bike than me and told me to be careful and have a good day!
I got stuck watching your videos after searching for a generator and I have to say they are very entertaining and remind me a lot of fearlessfront when he started on UA-cam a while ago you guys are doing great
I just love how he says I barely understand this myself, and then proceeds to draw a perfect diagram along with the exact parts needed to make the upgrade/conversion
Keep it up bud I’m a mechanic and motorcycle guy so it’s nice to see someone that knows what they are doing!! Lol just a FYI a regular upload schedule and more often is something the UA-cam algorithm looks for as a positive channel to promote. I’d love to see this channel blow up you two are great entertainment!
Only found your channel last month. I've binged watched them all and cant get enough. KDX is great little bike, hope you get to enjoy it soon. That ring ding smell and sound is the best
They are the definition of perfect for each other. Love watching their videos. Great chemistry and a good amount of comedy. Plus i always learn something.
Owned a KDX200 20+ years ago, was such a great bike. I eventually pulled it down and sprayed the frame dark grey, had a lot of parts re-plated and polished the swing arm and fork legs - like you, I had issues refitting the wiring harness so had to whip it down to my local bike shop. When I went in to pick it up there were three blokes checking it out, they couldn't work out what it was and thought it was new, I kicked the stand out and told them it was a 90 model KDX200, they freaked out! Think I sold it for $2700 AUD, which was what I paid for it ☺
Always entertaining watching you solve problems as they occur. Jenn is on form as per usual 😂❤️️, I look forward to seeing the finished product and watching some more posts from you 👍
when something needs to be fitted to or through said structural support is a good time to drill through it. the only way to avoid doing it is to fix/weld everything to everything which is not practical and in this case use a different speedo which they aren't prepared to do. just using a screw is making a hole in a structural support. its not a big deal...
man, your channel quickly became a favorite of mine. you do an excellent job of making these videos and you better not stop any time soon. you and your wife make a great team, and i look forward to every upload. keep on doing you!
Please upload more often! I understand you’s lead a busy life and what not but you could make youtube your full time job. Your content is top quality, and very educational!!
It's good to see you're trying to wrap up this project it's turning out very cool I think the way you rewired that thing is amazing but I have a special request can you get back on the trailer rebuild I loved those videos and since I've acquired my own old 70s travel trailer I might need the instruction
This was nostalgic, reminds me of all the electrical work I had to do on my 72 F7 Enduro to get it street legal. Luckily it still had everything but the lights and some of the wiring left on it. The weak little 6v battery though doesn't give enough juice to prevent the flashing effect fully, but the headlight runs on AC in that bike, so it's only the tail light that blinks with the signals.
Get 'em straightened out Jenn, although I was fairly proud of him UNTIL he made that Large hole in the front critical support piece! If it breaks..it will only mean all control is gone, the front end will most likely fall off, and leave sharp pieces to greet the riders face ;( just wish he drilled it to where it was a tight fit to get the cable through..and oh yeah, did I mention I hope he didn't 'rob' enough parts off YOUR bike to keep you a nice safe dirt bike in that lovely lime green all of your own? Well I did now! And hope he knows your interjected comments at crucial times makes the videos interesting ;) stay safe you all..even if that means I'll take the first ride on the bike..although I'm wearing a full face helmet for this one! Can't wait to see the finish video(s) including your dirt bike going again too, maybe you riding around your property on it, together on a ride.
If you finish the KDX , you know what that means..... Another project lol Keep up the great videos. You 2 are awesome and Thank you for taking time to put these out.
Dude you just drilled through a stress part. It doesn't matter if you actually weakened it, the point is you will never really have complete faith that your machine will hold up to hard driving conditions ever again! And every rider knows having confidence in your machine is half the battle!! that being said awesome videos guy, keep it up.
I love all your dirtbike videos. Im hooked, I seriously watch a build from beginning to end. But i must say that drilling that bike in the triple tree was a little crazy. Love to see how it turns out
Great to see you back again, I was beginning to wonder if you'd made it back form you road trip. I have to admit I'd have tried to make a bracket to come of the handle bar clamps and hold the clocks at an angle to clear the triple tree but the hole looks good and I'm sure it will all hold together. Welcome back :-)
I had a KMX125 for my 20th, and the generator was enough to power a 100W Euro H4 and the rest. The electricity does not work on the bike not because of the bike, but because of the interface between the seat and the handlebar. Electricity is a science.
Just finished watching the series on the Husqvarna bike. "I want to sell this in the next 6 months." is what he said. Here we are, a year later. He still has it (and it's still a pretty bike)
its the little things about your videos that i absolutely love. when jen gives you legit criticisms and the video quick cuts lmao... youll let her tear a strip off ya but than edit out "thats a little crooked"
Love your videos I watch them every time I get an notification wish and hope you could post more longer ones I really learn a lot from your videos I’ve been watching them for a while keep up the good aggravating work lol.
I didnt think you were serious about drilling a hole then BOOM drilling the hole it is LOL cant wait to see it being ridden like it should! Great videos brother
this is very helpful info. im trying to convert my xr650r to dualsport and my only concern was a stator vs blinkers and a horn. ill still probably have to get a ricky stator tho.
Trail Tech regulator rectifier, and a small lithium battery, it's not complicated I have redid my Honda XR650R many times (and yes it's plated and Titled). Or you can make a cell battery of your own pattern and maybe install it in the airbox, that is how my bike lived it's first 5 years. I just got tired of making a battery every few years, now I took a cheap 12volt drill battery and installed it on a mount behind the headlight on the bars...lol I might replace this with a small lithium though as they are pretty cheap now. Also take a look at your stator, my brother in-law rewound mine by hand as the XR650R wasn't using all the poles. So most of it is for DC and I think like two poles are for AC...buy some stator wire and epoxy. Off course you could spend $200-$300 and buy a well made stator too. Oh my drill battery has lasted 3 years now, when they do die it's easy to go to Home Depot and buy a 12 volt new one, paint it black and no ones notices it. Also the battery will smooth out the wave pattern of the current. You could also use a large capacitor. People do that and they tend to be really light and fit in tight spots. $75 for a 85 watt Ricky stator for that bike...cheap $53 for a capacitor encased in rubber from Ricky also...yeah so dang cheap.
i just picked up a 1986 Kawasaki kdx i think 250 3 wheeler with a clutch kinda cool the wiring harness is fried so watching you do it let me think i could. lets hope so anyways haha keep the vids coming i am learning alot.
would use hand signals. OR i have some sets of blinkers for bicycles. runs on aaa batteries, I have rechargeable aaa's from harbor freight . SO glad to see a new Video today!!!
great vid ,ive been wondering how to do this to my kdx, 220,i bought a tusk ekit for my 200 the battery didnt last and charger smoked itself, seeing how you disconnected the ground i can finish my wiring.my only issue is the last time i tried to pull the flywheel, the pos puller i used pulled the threads out of the flywheel, gonna have to figure out how to get it off without destroying it.i bought my 200 brand new in 98,made it street legal, last year i picked up a 2001 220r that im rewiring and this vid is exactly what i needed, thanks again
Just found yr channel. Great content and glad to see you're approaching 200K subs! You & Jennie make a good team and these videos are making me think I should buy this cheap, carbless Honda XL100S that someone's selling near me. You're also maybe one of the first UA-camrs I've seen who I think has potential as an film actor (or at least a performance role beyond your garage). Cheers from Canada!
I agree with everyone! Every time I see these videos I stop what I’m doing and watch them! I have said it once and I’ll say it again please go all out on this guys I know you could make a living from your videos.. anyways once again great video can’t wait to see the new paint job
as a machinist with 18 years experience, i would definitely say that top clamp has more than enough strength left.
God bless.
damn missed you bro. your in my top 3 of favorite you tubers to watch

Mustie1 and 805Roadking.
Try Peter Anderson he's good too.
Kris Wright- I am a Mustie1 fan also. It's funny, I just suggested to Mustie that he do simple wiring diagrams to show what he is doing and then I discover this channel where he is doing exactly that. I love these channels. I learn a LOT.

i like suggestions,sometimes....lol
Good suggestion I did that to my bike however with indicators you can sometimes have issues with the flashers as they don't draw the same current
I actually like the electrical stuff as much as the mechanical. Also, that hole you drilled will not affect the structural integrity. And your guage cluster does kinda look like my head.
me two lol
I want to understand the electrical stuff but it’s soooo confusing 😭
Jake you're an inspiration. Love your vids. The editing. The content. The camera work. The funny banter. Love it.
I love how goofy this couple is yet obviously he is a pretty skilled mechanic. Don't let him fool you, he knows very well what he is doing to get these bikes working :D Also, the wifey is super hot :D Great youtube channel.
You have an amazing wife that supports you god bless you!
lol too funny
You do and mine is very similar! It takes TWO to make a thing go right! lol. You two are funny!
ive only recently found this channel but i cant stay away now ! ive watched all the kdx build, the trail 90 and the Rukus. the chemistry between you both makes for addictive viewing.
Love that tank on the thing, it's huge.
Opferman Motors Dirtbiking I've got an identical bike to his and it needs that big tank😂. It likes the gas.
wow huge amazing awesome holy ..geez

This was actually very entertaining, especially the wiring part
Only found your channel last month. I've binged watched them all and cant get enough. KDX is great little bike, hope you get to enjoy it soon. That ring ding smell and sound is the best

This video speaks to me, the KDX was my first and only dirt bike and always ran like a gem.

I typically don’t like comment or subscribe to anyone. But I actually enjoy this channel 🔥
Always entertaining watching you solve problems as they occur.
Jenn is on form as per usual 😂❤️️, I look forward to seeing the finished product and watching some more posts from you 👍
Drilling through the triple clamp made my insides hurt.
me too but seeing it compared to what it replaced made it all better...
Wow when is drilling through something used for structural support a good idea especially the way this bike is design bad idea in my opinion
when something needs to be fitted to or through said structural support is a good time to drill through it. the only way to avoid doing it is to fix/weld everything to everything which is not practical and in this case use a different speedo which they aren't prepared to do.
just using a screw is making a hole in a structural support.

Jourdon Gulick me too
Me too
man, your channel quickly became a favorite of mine. you do an excellent job of making these videos and you better not stop any time soon. you and your wife make a great team, and i look forward to every upload. keep on doing you!
We need more videos. You need to get another project that is almost impossible so we can watch and learn. Thanks Jake.
I always love your videos! It doesn't matter how technical or non technical it is. Keep it up!!
You guys rock. Up-beat and fun and real. I always look forward to another episode. Keep it going guys.
I love this project, it never gets old. Your like the old bike professor 👨🏫
You fabricated your own Jig, I'm highly impressed my friend. I can't stop watching your videos!
This was nostalgic, reminds me of all the electrical work I had to do on my 72 F7 Enduro to get it street legal. Luckily it still had everything but the lights and some of the wiring left on it. If you finish the KDX , you know what that means..... Another project lol Keep up the great videos. You 2 are awesome and Thank you for taking time to put these out.
the way you do the elec. I can under stand, were most videos I cant , so thanks for helping him jen.

@9:18
say what?
Great videos. Sat here bing watching most of the afternoon.
I love all your dirtbike videos. Im hooked, I seriously watch a build from beginning to end. But i must say that drilling that bike in the triple tree was a little crazy. Love to see how it turns out
Glad you’re back. I always instantly watch your videos.
Hey, I can't wait for you to finish up! I get here every day to see if there is any new video.
Cheers from Sweden!
Great to see you back again, I was beginning to wonder if you'd made it back form you road trip.
I have to admit I'd have tried to make a bracket to come of the handle bar clamps and hold the clocks at an angle to clear the triple tree but the hole looks good and I'm sure it will all hold together.
Welcome back :-)
i really really really enjoyed the fast pace and condense version. Loved the video
I love your girlfriends commentary. So funny.
Yes indeedie, I also put the blue UDFs on a 1989 KX250, they are the most beautiful forks. Plus a much better ride.
I just watched all the kdx videos. Good work on the kdx's. You two are really a great team which makes the videos fun to watch. Keep it up :)
Been a month now. Where are you?
Love the commentary. Best bike building channel on UA-cam. Oh and I'm learning too so that's pretty sweet

You're good. I don't own a bike and am not a mechanic, yet i this stuff holds my attention....good stuff.
More videos!!! We love you guys!!!
Love the videos. Especially the humor. Keep up the good work.
Times up! Just finish it! BTW- Great job on the rectifier and batter box fabrication! I want to move on to the Corvette project!
Love your videos I watch them every time I get an notification wish and hope you could post more longer ones I really learn a lot from your videos I’ve been watching them for a while keep up the good aggravating work lol.
It's a great video series. Keep em coming! Fun from being to end. Thank you.
Wooohooo good stuff mate great to see the blue forks in the finnished bike...
I just found your channel and I love it.i know nothing about moters . But you and the "camera girl" have me hooked.much success.
David b Thank you! We have a lot of fun making the videos.
I didnt think you were serious about drilling a hole then BOOM drilling the hole it is LOL cant wait to see it being ridden like it should! Great videos brother
Keep making your videos!! I look forward to every one of them!!
this is very helpful info. im trying to convert my xr650r to dualsport and my only concern was a stator vs blinkers and a horn. ill still probably have to get a ricky stator tho.
i dont understend how can you give him a 👎🏻 to a most positive man i ever know...??!!
Lol. “It’s kinda crooked ain’t” and edit the scene. You guys are awesome, love the videos.
Good to have you guys back.
Trail Tech regulator rectifier, and a small lithium battery, it's not complicated I have redid my Honda XR650R many times (and yes it's plated and Titled). $75 for a 85 watt Ricky stator for that bike...cheap
$53 for a capacitor encased in rubber from Ricky also...yeah so dang cheap.
Great Video ,nice soldering job , with heat shrink, I say darn good job
i just picked up a 1986 Kawasaki kdx i think 250 3 wheeler with a clutch kinda cool the wiring harness is fried so watching you do it let me think i could. lets hope so anyways haha keep the vids coming i am learning alot.
It’s a good day when Jennie’s Garage posts a new video
Funny gal. Love her ability to tear him down so casually. Can tell they get along really well.

great vid ,ive been wondering how to do this to my kdx, 220,i bought a tusk ekit for my 200 the battery didnt last and charger smoked itself, seeing how you disconnected the ground i can finish my wiring.my only issue is the last time i tried to pull the flywheel, the pos puller i used pulled the threads out of the flywheel, gonna have to figure out how to get it off without destroying it.i bought my 200 brand new in 98,made it street legal, last year i picked up a 2001 220r that im rewiring and this vid is exactly what i needed, thanks again
Wooooooo love seeing new vids, don't ever stop you guys!
Need to put that voltage regulator back in. Going to blow out the rectifier or battery. Unless the rectifier has a regulator built in?
agreed
Check out "lightening holes", aircraft wings, bridge girders, and a bunch other things use them to minimize mass.
So nice to see a new video from my favorite youtubers:)
Not boring thanks very much for the education and please keep it up!!!!
