Don't know if you bought it new or used and and how it was maintained but Sorry for your issues with yours but at least you get something a little different out of it for your hard work. They are great bikes and worth saving. Bought mine brand new it is a 03 XB9R has 80,000 miles on the OD and still runs perfect, as good as new. Nice and tight she purrs like a kitten. I broke it in and did all maintenance religiously. It was my only vehicle for three years and racked up miles at 100 both ways to work in all imagined conditions. freezing weather Snow, rain, scorching heat you name she saw it. Twenty one years later I have four bikes but the Buell is still ridden regularly and probably is my favorite of the many bikes I own and have owned. We have been through a lot together and it always makes me smile
Man says he is not a mechanic, yet he tares his bike apart and upgrades to the bigger motor. Good job. By the way, that short swingarm tells me its a 03-04 Buell, which never came with the 1203cc... it only had the 984cc. Which means now you have something the factory never sold in 03/04
@@dl3130 It means as far as I'm concerned you did well as a mechanic, even if you had issues with the engine rebuild, and now you have a 1203cc short wheelbase early model XB. Which makes it unique, since it never came with the long stroke engine in 2003-04. But... if you ever want to learn how to rebuild that Buell engine to perfection, look up (Hammer Performance) youtube channel. Hammer Dan has all the professional engine build tips for Sportster and HD Buells, that you would ever need. Plus he sells performance engine upgrades.
Good bike choice. I like your style. Not keen on the electric wrench though, and the assumption that a 1200 motor is an 'upgrade'. But hey, you probably didn't care which replacement engine you acquired?
The reality is that this bike had originally a xb12 but the previous owner had swapped to a xb9 I don't know the reason behind it. They r both very torquey and fun
@@MrVal916 yeah, I just want one, not really bothered which! Always loved Super motards, and these are an example of Hyper motards with some really novel engineering twists. I know lots of people favour the earlier 'tubers', but all the clever stuff in these later models is super trick. I hate twin disks, what an own goal in engineering terms? Mr Buell developed the more elegant solution by far, BRAVO!

I have kept up on the maintenance. However I've been riding it hard...also lots on wheelies and stuff I think that could of been part of thw reason 🤔
That XB12 makes a lot more torque. Glad you’re having so much fun.
So proud of you babe !!! 😘

Продают скорее всего из-за того. что этот мотоцикл не едет как литровый японский рядник.
