My dad was the drummer, Neil. He spoke of the experience to being in this movie so highly. They had a great time. He passed away 25 years ago suddenly. He loved the Rhythm Masters.

Did they ever make any albums? The only Rhythm Masters I can find at eBay or Amazon is a gospel group. IF they didn't make any albums, did they at least appear in any other films. I loved them in Get Yourself A College Girl. They act and play like a 90's ska band. All that energy and fun attitude and all.

The drummer is my best friend's dad. My friend showed it to his kids for the first time last night. Mr. Miller passed away suddenly back in the early 90's when we were still in college. Scott still has a great love of music (I myself am a professional musician). That's an outstanding group of players.

The banjo player is a friend of mine....he still has all of the energy in the world. Plays a mean banjo as well!

    George,
I love this performance! Incredible energy, and so different from everything else that was happening then (or now). I'd love to learn more about the history of this band.

It took the fellow ,doing the intro's, more than 15 takes to get it right. That was for Jimmy Smith. It was a great day. This is Craig Wood the banjo player. I have some 45's and a very poor video of The mickey Mouse Club performance, that Jim Chapman sent to me. It may be Neil on the drums, but the rest was overdubbed by some studio guys. He was an amazing drummer, and great friend. I found everybody(save Hal/bass) last year, including Gordon.Love to hear from all.

Were the studio musicians "The Wrecking Crew," from Los Angeles? Early on they were also known as "The First Call Gang" & "The Clique." There's a documentary about them available on blu-ray (The Wrecking Crew).

Hi there, Neil Miller, the drummer was my grand father. Do you happen to have a link to see the mickey mouse club performance or any of the 45's? Ive been reading a collection of about 150 letters he wrote documenting his time with The Rhythm Masters. Would love to see any performances you may have.

@keoki46 Did they film the DC5 and the Animals separately from every one else in that movie?

Saw the film last night and was blown away by the Rhythm Masters. And I agree -- amazing that folks from the film are talking here. Question for George: am I imagining it, or is there a touch of klezmer in your amazing clarinet?
