What question would you like answered in our next mailbag?!
Can I use Dynamic Mic instead of shotgun and just crank the gain up?
What happened to the V.lav? Is it discontinued? Or is there another future product to replace it?
For mouth clicks, grab a glass of apple juice or lemonade--something acidic. Let the fluid flow to the sides of your tongue until you feel your mouth starting to produce additional saliva. Repeat as needed. This will help a lot. In terms of post production, RX8 de-click can be an absolute lifesaver. As always, really interesting video. Thank you.
iZotope RX is up to 10 now, but yeah -- the de-click has been excellent since I've been using RX, which was version 6.
@@ShawnMilo Absolutely. It is not specific to just version 8. That would be an interesting business strategy indeed.
Nice, haven't heard of this fix!
@@DeityMicrophones Andrew demonstrated De-Click in a mailbag episode 2-3 years ago. Even demonstrated "Output clicks only".
10+ years of just fixing mouth clicks in post production.... Clicked this video hoping to learn something to ease my suffering 🤣🤣 Oh well. At least now I can keep going more confidently.
Heyyyy! Thanks for the answer! I always seem to have issues with that along with when I help other people record for podcasts and whatnot. Super helpful info
3:46, Sometimes I wondered if my boom was in a position that sounded too crispy. Adjusting a the mic position to reduce the detail and therefore mouth clicks could be an interesting solution that I'm curious to test.
is there a market for online editors who focus mainly on removing mouth clicks? i know how to do that, and I've been getting good and quick with my work. but no one in upwork seems to need it.
To be honest, many people don't even know to listen for it to begin with!
Can I use dead cat in a rainy condition?
Looks like this mic in frame is just for picture and not connected to anything.
