Cooking the burger reminds of the days when my parents owned a Chinese restaurant and I used to put everything in the deep fryer.
I'd put hamburger patties and hot dogs in there. My dad would yell at me for getting the oil dirty and he'd have to change it quicker. Surprised I didn't have a heart attack eating all that deep fried stuff.

This reminds me of my days at the University of Oregon and the McMenamin Brew Pubs in Eugene - they served a "Wimpy Burger" named after the Popeye cartoon character J. Personally I would use less lettuce or cabbage whichever it is, and make fresh patties rather than frozen. Hit those patties with some SPG (salt, pepper, garlic).
