I love kick scootering. I also use to get between the limited buses and also to church and the store. It’s really fun, sometimes I’ll just cruise around for no reason.
Yeah agree!!!!!👍🏻
Im 33 and I recently invested in my kick scooter. I wish i had done so, sooner!!!
Congratulations on taking a step closer to better fitness!!! Age is just a number and I wish you well in exploring more places with the kick scooter!!! Ride safe!
lol really, a whole 33. I'm a 73 year old broad getting ready to buy a RazorA6 scooter. 33LOL@@TravelwithYiew
Please do a series that covers things you see/encounter which you wouldn't have if u didn't kick scoot!
That's a nice idea! Thank you! :)
I use my kick scooter to do Uber Eats! Made a lot of money while working out in my neighborhood!
Wow. That’s great to hear that! Good workout at the same time! Well done!
I had one kick scooter and remembered that I went the whole neighbourhood with that
PS I still have that scooter
That’s nice! Are you still kick scooting around today?
Great vid thank you. I've bought one but it's in Australia, I'm in Indonesia, so I am yet to get scooting, but will soon. I've always enjoyed combining running/walking to get around towns/cities, but I see the kick scooter as an extension to those activities. Looking fwd to it. Singapore must be perfect for the scooter. Cheers
Yeah! It's really a great workout and seeing places from another perspective! Yes, Singapore has a lot of nice park connectors where we can do scooting :) Hooe you enjoyed the video :)
I use my kick scooter to cover large areas (e.g. Jurong Lake Gardens to take elevator videos) and as a commuting tool to and from my house in a private estate.
Suffice to say, my scooter still runs pretty good after 10 months of almost-constant abuse from me due to me riding on non-even roads and pavements, and probably abuse on public transport and escalators (Yes, my Commute 900 folds pretty neat for public transport).
Hello fellow "scootee"!!! Nice to connect with you here! :)
…after 10 months, taking it back to Decathlon for maintenance and overhaul.
During the whole 10 months, I had front bearings changed to SKF from stock bearings, and the rear wheel changed as I created flat spots on the wheel itself.
@@ZHD1987E Wow! You must have used it extensively!!!
Yes, it was used very intensely.
When I brought my scooter for a check, the mechanic at Decathlon said that most customers don’t have the degree of wear and tear I impose on my scooter.
That being said, I do travel overseas and I plan to bring my -motorcycle- scooterif the situation permits…
@@ZHD1987E That will be perfect if you could document your overseas travel journeys on your scooter! :) Looking forward!
I have a scooter! Transportation sometimes is hard !!
Hope you are having a good exercise with it. :)
HAPPY 2021!!
Wow! You are so fast! Happy 2021!
I really enjoyed your video. Great channel. 👍🏼 🤩
Greetings from Albania. 👋🏼🇦🇱
Thanks for the support! Greetings from Singapore. 😄
I ride my kick scooter occasionally, however I find it uncomfortable to ride longer than 5km or a little uphill. When riding my kick scooter, 10km is about my tolerable distance. In this case, I will usually use my folding bike instead. If only there is a something that is as portable as a kick scooter but is as efficient as a bike. :)
It’s a good start!!! Keep kicking!!! 🛴
I use a kick scooter when I need to use public transport (although if it is off-peak I can take a bike on the train), otherwise I have my bike, but they are both fun and no fuel or batteries to worry about, nor any massive on-going insurance, maintenance, parking or tax to pay for, besides I prefer being out and about to being couped up in a cage on wheels! With the money I save I can buy myself something to eat when I'm tired up and still have extra!
That’s really great! Especially so where you are exercising and it’s good for your health!
@@TravelwithYiew Yeah, I feel a lot better switching to active transport where it is possible- cycling and scooting are fun- driving is stressful- my physical and mental health have benefitted from it, I no longer tire so quick, I can ride my bike into the city about 15 miles away if I really want, even with the hills, although that is more of a "take the kick scooter on the bus" kind of a journey.
But the benefits to mental health of being out in the fresh air excersizing have arguably been even better- helped me to feel more positive and less anxious- I also have more energy to play with my 3 year old son without getting tired and stressed and he can already ride a bike or scooter just as far as I can- getting to see active transport as the norm will be good for him too and kids hate being stuck in a car!
That’s really awesome! Thank you so much for sharing and celebrating your milestone with me! Indeed, now that I cycle to school daily, it makes me more alert and ready for the day ahead, cutting down on some unnecessary screen time while on the bus or train. Let’s continue to seize the moment and have a healthy 2023 ahead! Cheers!
Not to mention, no stupid drivers license required and the pigs can't harass you for speeding. Love scooters!
Cool
Hi, how do you lock your scooter ?
Hello CL, thanks for your question. Yes. You can buy a simple lock to lock it. For example, through the spokes of the front wheel to a lamp post for instance. If not can you can just fold it and bring it into the mall. Pretty easy to pull along like a luggage.
Hi May I know what brand and model of the kick scooter are u using ?
This is the one :)

Nice one
Thank you!!!
Had a r500 scooter and tend to have rattle noise on Rough surfaces...how to reduce it?
Ah!! Maybe check with the decathlon service centre at the bigger outlets? Maybe need some lubrications.
Hi thanks for sharing.. but I have a question about is it safe for using kick scooting on the walk way from my workplace to my home ?
Hello! Thanks for your question :) if you are new to kick scooter I suggest you start with your neighbourhood first to get yourself familiar with the kick scooter and also the pathway. Thereafter I am sure you will be ready to kick scoot from home to workplace! Enjoy and stay safe on the pathways!
@@TravelwithYiew thank u !! So if I want get one kick scooting, with Handbrake or without handbrake ? Which is the best ?
@@teohweekeatsamteoh775 you are most welcome. If you are new to kick scooting I would suggest you buy one with the handbrake. So at least you feel more confident especially going down a slope.
@@TravelwithYiew thanks for advice 🙂
Free will, remember????@@teohweekeatsamteoh775

@@TravelwithYiew I will man. My honour hehe. Just lmk which weekday. Rental & space on me man.
Is it easy to balance? Coz i dont know how to ride a bicycle, so i am wondering if its hard to balance
Yes it’s easy to balance. Start by getting used to it by placing the kick scooter on the grass patch. Soon after you will be confident to go on the pathway :)
Thanks for replying! Any particular brand u know of that is good? Shopee got afew types available to choose from
Don’t mention! I purchased mine from Decathlon. It’s really stable and good for long distance riding too!
