If you're in need of books to check out, the rest of this series is fantastic. This is actually the worst book of the series in my opinion, however I would personally give this one an 8/10. The rest of the series only gets more intriguing as you go on. 10-15 year old me couldn't get enough of this series and I was disappointed every time I got to the end and had to wait for the next book to come out

Omg. I haven't read this series since I in high school. I never was able to finish the series as only the first 3 or 4 books in series had been written at the time. Looking forward to FINALLY finishing 1 of my favorite series I've read.
I always love the ceremony at the end because Halt says he wasn’t invited, but he was 100% asked to accompany Will and receive Baron Arald’s thanks as well. Halt probably told him to piss off and left Will hanging so he’d have to suffer through the fame Halt hates so much.
Still loving these books many years later. Flanagan created something timeless with Ranger’s Apprentice. Ps. It looks like there is a film or tv adaptation currently in the works!

Something might have happened to him. Covid killed a lot of random people in my life so I imagine that or some other illfate. Sad.
