Getting close! Nearly set up! I'm building a custom wooden frame to mount above the main TV in my bar. This box will have a small open space to house all the circuit boards. Thanks for the detailed steps. I tripped on a few of them, but was able to go back and make the corrections. Works great!
I’ve literally been looking for something like this for the past 6 years but always knew I couldn’t manage it, at least not confidently enough to fork out the money. I just might have to give this a try. Thanks!
Awesome! I literally found a simple way to do it in the steps I mention in the video and allows for a lot of versatility. I'm really enjoying the ambiance it creates in my room in the central part of the basement.
This great! Thank you for the detailed explanation of the software involved and how to set it up. The only unfortunate part is the cost of the monitor - a good 32" FHD smart TV can be bought for $30 less than the stretched 24" LCD.
Your right however I don't know a cheaper source . This was about tickers and replicating that look which you can't do with regular screens . That I did some videos for separately. As these long screens are not mass produced there is more cost I suspect to manufacture
Fantastic video. Always wanted one of these for my sports basement but as you said; $600+ and mnthly subsc is insane. This is exactly what I need and going to follow your detailed instru. Thanks
This is a fantastic explanation/guide. I really appreciate the insight. Great idea. I've always wanted a ticker at the house. Now, maybe I can have one soon. Thank you.
I just put mine together today. Now I just have to figure out where to put it in my man cave. Thank you for putting this together. You the man! Go Manders!
I started this project myself. Excellent guide. I was hoping to utilizing a regular 24 inch flatscreen and fill the below space with local stats from our man cave. However, my first go wasn't very successful at getting that space back from the ESPN full screen view. (I might dig a little deeper see what options are out there.) Anyway, I started looking at the 24 inch stretched lcd bars, since that looks much cooler as a dedicated sports tracker. They all seem to require a controller board. I guessing lcd bars are not the same as a monitors, where I could just connect vis an hdmi cable.
Very good video and ticker. Thanks for posting. Was wondering if you have a link for the l brackets you used to hang the lcd, as well as a brief explanation of how the lcd doesn’t fall forward with only bottom brackets? I am having a hard time figure if out how to hang it on the wall. Any other ideas are also welcomed. Thanks

Not sure if you mentioned it, but how are you controlling/navigating the mini PC? Do you have a mouse and keyboard hooked up to it or just using the remote function you explained with the smart phone?
Thanks man. Appreciate it. One more thing, when you have one mini pc running 2 screens, how do you have the PC display a different image on each screen. I assume you have an hdmi splitter from the PC going to multiple monitors?
Likely not getting power or not seated properly. Check all inputs as well when you connect it. 9 times out of 10 it's been user error it can't rule out hardware issue
This is a brilliant guide, thank you. I have some questions about your man cave in general: You have a few larger screens with sports info on them - are they done in a similar way to this ticket? Would you be able to show a guide what projectors you used and how you set up the various projectors you have please?

I wonder if I can use the second video out on the Z83 I'm using with the MoviePosterApp to run the RSS app, so effectively use the same mini PC to display both the poster app and the news ticker right above it?
