I love this band so much. Francesco Paoli might be the most talented person in metal today. The songwriting, drumming, guitar playing, vocals, and stage presence... That guy has it all, man!

I still can't get over the fact that Francesco Paoli started the band as guitar+vocals, did a perfect transition to drumming and now did a second perfect transition back to guitar+vocals and the band still sounds brutal and amazing.
In fact, he is the one who makes the battery tracks for the albums, now plays them live David Folchitto but it is still Francesco who creates them and recorded
I believe he still tracked drums for veleno
it's really his project, the spawn of a incredibly talented man

What I liked most about this song, is that I see other nuances that the band was not showing in previous works, there is a greater role of guitars, which in King (2016) were almost inaudible.
And still, guitars were more audible in King than in Labyrinth. This is a very good evolution of their sound for me, it is way more balanced now.
@@Irydion I can here the guitars fine in Labyrinth. Not King though. Maybe bc King riffs aren't as memorable.
The guitars in my opinion are much more prominent in King. Labyrinth in my opinion was blast beats with orchestra, which I loved btw. Either way, all great albums. Is Paoli drumming for the recording session anybody know?

I have been listening to FA non stop since a month or so. Saw them live 3 days ago. And I come home to....a new song. PERFECT.
At first I was "Oh no! Not this melodic/folk thing", then "WTF?! 300 bpm blast beat?!"

The beautiful folky sounding intro abruptly taking a more twisted dark turn is brilliant and perfect for the theme of the song imo. Bagpipes is one of the first instruments i would associate sheep/lamb with as well so that's a cool detail.
Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
From the intro I'm feeling a mixed feeling of classic symphonic power metal and then the death metal epicness comes in. Absolutely beautiful.
Sounds so different from King and Agony. But again their first 2 albums sound completely different from the rest so I'm interested in where they take their style for the rest of the album

My god this album os going to kick so much ass. The evolution of Fleshgod's sound is incredible!
I love how in the beginning the song has an Equilibrium vibe, but then at 0:36 you hear the crushing heavy riff with tremolo picking approaching, and then it become 100% Fleshgod.

Chaotic Beauty in Full Brutal effect!!!! Highlight for me on this track are definitely the vocals and lyrics. Not only is the music itself so unqiue, dynamic, and heavy Francesco Paoli has in my opinion one of best death metal vocals in the genre.

edit: many more listens in, I can remember the chorus, but the rest is a blob of various things, like scraps from many songs glued into one, with a chorus to govern it. I stand with my initial opinion.

Not quite as good as Sugar but still loved it, I'm really excited to hear Veronica Bordacchini's Opera again, assuming she'll be returning on this album. Her vocals are one of my favorite things about this band.
