Brilliant! Love the arrangement!!! this song brings back some memories my Men's choir took 1st place in state with this piece.

I sang this as part of a quartet at a 6th grade talent show at G.E. Tandy Elementary in Fort Worth, Texas, 1957. It is heartwarming to see it remains in circulation. The song held an ironic message for me then, as I lived an a nearby orphanage, the Tarrant County Children's Home, where the children lived virtually bereft of love except for the camaraderie of their Home peers.
I cannot help wondering if the teacher, Mr. Evans, selected this song for this very reason.

yes, it was at Central. At Washington State Solo/Ensemble. We won in the small men's ensemble category that year.
