- Welcome to Ewetopia Farms, where we take you on a captivating journey through our daily sheep farming vlog. In today's episode, we dive into the heart of lambing season, witnessing the beginning of the second round of lambing. Join us as we spend quality time with adorable Suffolk ram lambs, capturing heartwarming moments of their bond with their mother.
Patience is key when it comes to sheep farming, and we demonstrate this as we give the mother sheep ample time to familiarize herself with her lambs before coaxing her into a bonding jug. Witness the joy and relief when she finally embraces her role as a nurturing mother.
Our daily chores include feeding the bottle babies, and we showcase their progress as they become more adept at nursing from us. We introduce a bottle holder to train them to nurse independently, allowing us to allocate our time to other important tasks. Training may take a few days, but the results are worth it.
In the expansive barns of Ewetopia Farms, the lambs revel in their newfound freedom and the invigorating freshness of their surroundings. Watch as they frolic on their play boxes, engage in friendly lamb races, and occasionally find themselves in playful mischief. Keep an eye out for the mischievous Dorset ewe lamb, who has discovered a clever way to climb atop the hay bale in the adult feeder.
As the lambs grow, we notice their increasing independence. They not only begin to consume solid feed but also exhibit their curiosity by nibbling at the salt and mineral feeders and quenching their thirst at the automatic waterers. Witness their rapid growth and diminishing reliance on their mothers, a testament to their resilience and development.

Bottle holding trading time can be quite challenging. You gotta have patience with this task. But, once those lambs get going, they are so cute sucking and wagging their tails super speed.
The lamb with the dirty little face: “You talking to me? I’m not going to tell you my beauty secret. I love playing with makeup. Don’t you?” 😂
😂
Absolutely 🤣
Always the first video I watch
Thanks 😁
That dirty faced lamb digs deep into the straw pack and rubs his face in it. I saw him in a recent video 😮 I love your lambing videos, rare deaths and gorgeous healthy babies 😍 Thanks so much for you and Arnie’s amazing work
Thank you!🥰
Well another late night watching my favorite video. Wow. Those are a couple of big lambies. Beautiful. I can see why you got pooped carrying both of them at once. That lamb likes her private snacking in the feeder. 😂😂. They really do love the box. Those Suffolk lambs are really looking great. Glad Alexander is still there. I have to I laughed at the ring around the roses that mommy did. 😂😂. Don’t you just love the dirty face. He seems quite proud. Get rest. Big big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Patricia. Yes, so many new personalities developing on the farm these days 🥰🥰🥰🥰
kolaygelsın guzel ınsanlar
The little lady in the feeder is practicing her skills so she can jump between the breeding groups one day.😂 Looks like the next wave of lambing could get things really busy!! Rest when you can and thanks for sharing!! Stay safe!!🙏🏻❤️
Don't say that!!🤣🤣
@@EwetopiaFarms That’s a floozy in the making!😂🤣

Name for the lamb in the feeder: Mischief?
Monkey?
I like Mischief! 😁
😁
Yes that's the name 😊
Such joy to see all the lovely lambs. ❤
the moms really do a good job looking after their lambs seeing how big they are already boy the grow fast
Yes, truly a sign of good moms 🙂
Mister and Mac sure are looking great.
I love all the wrinkles on the newborn Suffolks. They grow so fast I guess they need the room 😂😂
THANK YOU!
Yes, usually the wrinkly ones are the biggest ones 🙂
Sort of like expansion pleats.😂❤
Fun times at Ewetopia Farms❤
The lambs with dirty faces are hilarious😂
Also did you lance the mom with goiter ?
🤍🧡💛💜💙
Hi Lynn and Ernie! love to see the lambs and moms together. I did notice a ewe with a large bump on the left side of her chin / neck area. you were feeding the bottle babies at the time. hope that all is good with her. Blessings.
Yes, she has a growth on her neck. She will be a cull sheep.
Carrying lambs are a priority over the camera. 🥰 Now that Arnie is doing a some of the filming, is he also helping with editing? Hope you had a lovely weekend. 😊
No, he doesn't do editing.
Good morning!
🌹🌹🌹🌹
Lynn In the summer you were concerned about Arnie's aerated jean shorts. You pink overalls aren't much better. Old clothes are so comfy - one prefers them regardless of how they look.
😂❤ my barn stuff looks pretty rough too. Why have nice stuff for manure etc.,?!
@@justinanovak8040 exactly 🙂 These are dirty, rough conditions. Not like how I dressed going to the office 😁
I actually wasn't concerned about his jeans, it was everyone else 😆
Wow, Mister is definitely growing! At least 2 inches in length when I look back when he first started wearing the sweater. I think he might grow into a good sized lad 🥰 The bottle holder is such a clever apparatus. Last year it was such fun watching the lambs battle for a bottle. Still, You guys do a masterful job at keeping your bottle baby numbers very low. 💛
Yes, the little sweater does let you keep track of his growth. He is looking a bit like the incredible Hulk, right now!🤣🤣
Hilarious, Lynn!! Now every time I see him I’m going think Hulky Mister!!🤣😂 On a side note…when you wash the sweater it might do best in a mesh bag or old pillow case so the spinner doesn’t stretch it out of shape. 🥰
I just washed it the other day and it doesn't seem to have stretched out of shape at all in the regular wash 🥰@Mary-F
That’s great to hear, Lynn. 🥰
They want you there mommy to feed them. You talk to them nice, pet them, besides they ❤❤❤❤❤you
He seems to like Camoflage.......hilarious.....
That could be it!😆😆

I am reading a book called ‘ A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23’ by Phillip Keller
Been watching for a while and love the videos. Do you increase the corn for the mothers after lambing? I know the get roughly a pound per day before but never noticed for after. Maybe I missed it. Thanks
Our Sheep are in such good condition and are getting really nice alfalfa/grass hay, so we do not find it necessary to increase the grain after lambing. If they were in poor condition or our hay wasn't great, then we would. 🙂
