There is one called matchlessGUM that pops up occasionally. THAT is one of the harder songs and it is a JOY to watch them play. THEY have given this 60 year old head banger faith in music. LIVE is the best.
If you had told me twenty years ago that one of my favorite bands would be five petite ladies dressed in maid costumes, I would have said you're crazy!...........and yet, here we are!
Let alone tell me four years ago l might find more music from Japan than anywhere else in the world on my playlist these days. Improbable? Very. Understandable in hindsight? Very. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.
When a Rise against song by a Guns N’ Roses type band plays a Sabbath breakdown with Tool solo, followed by a pop whoa-o-o-oah singalong... and you realize it’s lil women in their 20s teasing you as servants, kicking you in the teeth, and you love it 😉🤘🎸💃😎
I had go their concert over ten times in Japan during 2017~2019, I could say these experience really were my treasure of life, their live in person just like you watch on video, even better, no lie.

@@kent-oveprestberg3578 You too. And a nod to Buckethead. I know you like him a lot. Slipknot recently announced the launch of Knotfest in Tokyo on January 11th. This concert is called Man on a Mission, or something like that. It's the makeup for the cancelled show and Band-Maid is in big letters on the poster. They have announced preliminary dates though obviously anything could or might happen in the interim. Sacramento is on that list. Babymetal played here at Aftershock last October and Band-Maid this next summer. Man, my little town is on the map! Here is hoping for better for us all. At least the people of good will. Stay safe.
Listen, I saw Deep Purple (Mark 2) in concert in the 70s and Child in Time is the greatest song of the 70s and 80s; I saw Zeppelin in '74 in Chicago, Cream, Bad Company, Grand Funk 3 times--all in the 70s. I've been around the block and love Miles Davis, Coltrane, seen Shakira, Carlos Vives, Juanes...and I have to say Band-Maid blows me away! Ran into them in February 2020 and just got the latest live DVD and I am learning Japanese. Wow wow wow is correct lol. I still get blown away every time I hear them and I hear them every day. I guess it is love and I love it. I can't explain it but I don't think anybody can. Great reaction!
As someone said, Band Maid is a super group formed from members of bands that never were. The first time I saw them I realized that each of them has exactly the sound/ability/stage presence and love for music and performing that I would have wanted if I could have put together a band that played the music style that I love.
Last year, I was at London gig with my daughter. It was a pleasure to meet them before the gig. Looks like no European tour, this year. Budokan is possible next February! Here is a live drawing of Akane-sama from last year. instagram.com/p/BzGPkkaBQNW/?igshid=8pju8o9q3o0q

My favorite 9 bands in no particular order: The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, U2, The Cure, Iron Maiden, The Cars, Metallica, The Smashing Pumpkins & BAND-MAID.
Just goes to show just how masterful Kanami is as a writer/arranger! Someone else mentioned the sound engineer and what an amazing job he did with the mix. To which I replied; that although he did, indeed, do a great job. Their job was made significantly easier since the good mix was baked in by how it was written an arranged. There are no clashing or overlapping parts to get in the way of each other.
You look like me the first time I saw/heard this. I was near tears with joy at just how cool this song is! I hope you see them too! Power of positive Maid thinking! Band-Maidiacs Unite!
It depends on the song. If it's 'Blooming' or 'Rinne' do watch the Music Video. If you can't get enough do more. Like the puzzle. React to 'Puzzle' LIVE. Because yes, they are awesome LIVE.
I always recommend watching the MV first to get the baseline of how the band intended for the song to sound like on the record. THEN listen to the live performance so you can appreciate how much the band takes it up a few notches live.
While the phrase "just bring it" sounds innocuous enough in Japanese and for many of the more elderly citizens of that nation the phrase is quite rude and almost disrespectful. And Saiki uses it to motivate the audience. She often exhorts the crowd to get up off their collective asses and just bring it. The more the audience is involved the harder our ladies play. Hell, that alone explains the superiority of their live performances. Knotfest will happen this January kicking off in Tokyo and then going around the world with Band-Maid on the bill. After all Band-Maid does a nice cover of Slipknot's Duality. Band-Maid uber alles. And, of course, Sakuramento wa Bando Meido ga daisuki! Sacramento loves Band-Maid!
Alas, I had my ticket to heaven canceled by the flu madness. On July 12th, just a few weeks away now, the maids (angels) were scheduled to descend on the stage at the now canceled INKcarceration Festival in Mansfield, Ohio. I have now set my sights on their Tokyo Budokan debut next February, but is that concert date even safe?
Repeat: For those who are LUCKY enough to go, B-M has 5 tour dates set for Japan starting July 16 and ending August 16, 2020. Limited tickets do to covid-19. Also (if still on) the Japan Government of Tourism will cover 50% of airfare & hotel. BUT, BUT I`ll fill in the "BUT" if you want - Later.
No dates are but Slipknot just announced the makeup show for the cancelled Knotfest. And that show called Man with a Mission or something like that happens January 11th in Tokyo. And Band-Maid is on the bill. In big letters. Nippon Budokan is a month later. Conditional or tentative dates are being announced for Knotfest and Sacramento is on that list next summer. While l cannot absolutely prove it and there are so many unknown variables like do they get a vaccine done or do infection rates rise too high but Band-Maid will surely be on the bill during the Knotfest around the world tour that follows Man on a Mission. I think we will all know within six months if this will or cannot happen. Keep a good thought.

And to think that this song is nearly four years old. Nw imagine that they got better .. oh, wait they did. This band has grown so much since they started. Miku most of all as she's turned into a phenomenal lyricist and went from barely able to strum the strings on a guitar to becoming a competent rhythm guitarist (still waiting for her bust out a 10-15 second solo on one of their instrumentals). Since they started doing their own writing, they have found their voice. The only time they lose that voice is when someone else writes their lyrics. This is why 'The Dragon Cries' sucks. Great music by the band, but the lyricist just couldn't capture their 'voice' and decided to write a political which is not what they are about.

Tim Gove then there’s the taste of brilliant Cold Chisel songwriting and the Ian Moss solo, the Royal Blood base and Pat Benatar vocals
