I love your videos, Elle! My teacher got a new job and had to move far away and couldn't take her budgies. My parents wouldn't allow me to get them, but my best friend got them and they're adorable! They were really old, so one of them died after around a year of being in her ownership, but the vet said it was because of old age. Her other budgie was really lonely, so she got another budgie to him company. We started watching your videos while we hung out with the birds, and now, even though I'm not a bird owner myself, they've become some of my favorites!

The picture of the divided cage shown on 4:47 is actually the same cage that I had for my Quaker Parrot and 2 Budgies because we didn't have much space in our old place, we didn't have room for 3 cages since I have an African Grey Parrot too. But now I have a new place and they have separate cages. I put the Budgies in the same cage because they get along quite well and the cage is big enough for 2 Budgies. =)

On Thursday I’m letting my 2 budgies fly out of there cage for the first time! They have a flight cage but I’ve never been able to help the fact my dad has 2 dogs and a cat and an open air fish tank. He helped me modify my bedroom so that there are no open cords. I also wish my dad would let me dm you my budgies cage. It felt so weird not seeing Bluebell but I know she will still be on your shoulder or playing in your hair or perched on your hand. I love your channel and you helped me change my birds lives. Edit: my budgies loved it! Also just ignore the part about Bluebell because I just found out Elle made this before she passed so please ignore that.
Love your videos. I have 2 budgies, both girls. I have a dog and a cat so I can't let them out too much. I have decided to wheel their cage into my bedroom and let them out. They are shy but I will keep trying. Little by little I will turn my bedroom into a bird room. Thanks for your videos.
The 1st cage looks big to me when I look at the "floor" of the cage. It's kinda looks like all 4 sides are equally length too. I wish the owner gave the dimensions to you. I understand some things appear smaller or sometimes bigger from a phone, depending on the angles. I could be wrong on this one though. 2:12 I think those things on the wall are the bottom part of the cages that was removed from it.They go right above the plastic liner thingy. I can see the little handle on them.

I was wondering what cage would you suggest keeping two bonded cockatiels in I have a flight cage and I don’t think it is big enough last week one of them had a blood feather and it really scared me. And I really want to prevent that from happening

I know you have already 5 budgies, but if u have money get the other Cage put the bird in there u want to bond. But i really recommend bond with one and then get another one

They are the double/stacked flight cages, I got them for Christmas, but since I let them out all day I just leave both doors open and at the end of the day they just choose which cage they want to stay in for the night. But I could try separating one for the time being and work with her. She’s the youngest kind of the bravest one. Her name is cherry 🍒🤍 she’s an albino budgie. But thank you for the tip!!
Do you have any tips to help a grieving bird? One of my parakeets past away unexpectedly a month ago and it’s been hard on his mate. She calls for him all the time and try’s to go look for him throughout my house.
I would say talk to her or maybe play some recordings of there songs. If you have the time and money to get another budgie you can also do that. I’m sorry for the loss of your other budgie

I do have a question in general though, I recently got 2 budgies but I don’t exactly understand what to feed them, should I keep a bowl full of seeds in their cage all day or should I only fill it up with vegetables and seeds or pellets? You’ve once said that you shouldn’t change a diet immediately, my budgies only eat seeds from the bowl but I fed some vegetables to them today from my hand ( I got them today).

Hello Elle! i love all the birds of yours! I have a question for you hope you can help me. My question is about food. My budgie Kiwi soo picky about food and eats almost nothing except seeds. I bought him the harrison pallets you suggested in one of your videos, but he won't eat it. It just pick the seeds. I also bought Veggie mix from kaytee, but he doesn't eat it either. I put fresh apples, bananas, cucumbers in his cage, he doesn't even touch it. He is 6 months old. I want him to be well fed, but I don't know exactly what to do.

I have a problem my bird is a cockateil and does not listen, at night he gets cranky and starts to bite when I let him out he's a whole new person and does not respond to treats and he only eats pellets
@adrielcastellanos3366 Your cockatiel is stressed i think you have a small cage and have no toys make some diy toys or if you have a bigger cage and toys still it does the same you force your bird to do something like step up or putting him inside the cage please if you don't do any of this then go to vet your bird needs help

Hello! I watched several of your videos and I’m afraid I don’t have the correct home/cage for a bird. I previously commented on a video about my baby Rosie passing. Something happened to her foot and I noticed it as I was putting her to bed and we was taking her to the vet the next morning but we woke up and she was gone 😢. I bought her at a average pet store with the cage and everything they said I would need.’ I didn’t realize she needed to come out of the cage like your explaining and I didn’t know about training her to come to me and all that. I had recently lost my momma and wanted her birds and was denied them and so that’s what made me go get one. I never thought to do research and feel so badly about it now. I don’t have a lot of money to go buy a new cage and all that. Do you think the one I have is good for a bungee, it is tall and kinds has like a castle look to it? I could send a picture if needed? I actually would like two birds but from what I’m learning from you I definitely don’t believe this cage is the right one for that. I feed her only seed diet and decorated with some wooden toys and some plastic and put a bigger mirror because she loved her little one so much 😢. I didn’t change the rides for her to stand on because I didn’t know to 🤦🏻♀️. I literally feel like I did everything wrong for her life and that’s why she only lived like 8-9 months 💔 😢. Please help this senior lady. I’m home nearly everyday, I literally only leave my hose if I have a doctors appointment I can’t do online because I have Agoraphobia and have plenty of time on my hands. Sorry my message is so long and personal ❤ I also love your knowledge of birds and respect it.
Hey, I would recommend asking people at your bird store about what you need and how the bird needs to live. You can also try searching it up online, they’ll know what’s right!
Please help!! I got my budgie 5 days ago and it adapted pretty quick but it doesn’t eat at all. I fed it a little green apple 3 days ago and that’s all it ate. It doesn’t eat the seeds at all or drink water .

Hi, im the owner of the first setup! The dimensions are 31"L x 20.5"W x 59.25"H. I indeed used the bottom layer of the cage on my wall😊

Your cockatiel is stressed i think you have a small cage and have no toys make some diy toys or if you have a bigger cage and toys still it does the same you force your bird to do something like step up or putting him inside the cage please if you don't do any of this then go to vet your bird needs help

Hello! I watched several of your videos and I’m afraid I don’t have the correct home/cage for a bird. I previously commented on a video about my baby Rosie passing. Something happened to her foot and I noticed it as I was putting her to bed and we was taking her to the vet the next morning but we woke up and she was gone 😢. I bought her at a average pet store with the cage and everything they said I would need.’ I didn’t realize she needed to come out of the cage like your explaining and I didn’t know about training her to come to me and all that. I had recently lost my momma and wanted her birds and was denied them and so that’s what made me go get one. I never thought to do research and feel so badly about it now. I don’t have a lot of money to go buy a new cage and all that. Do you think the one I have is good for a bungee, it is tall and kinds has like a castle look to it? I could send a picture if needed? I actually would like two birds but from what I’m learning from you I definitely don’t believe this cage is the right one for that. I feed her only seed diet and decorated with some wooden toys and some plastic and put a bigger mirror because she loved her little one so much 😢. I didn’t change the rides for her to stand on because I didn’t know to 🤦🏻♀️. I literally feel like I did everything wrong for her life and that’s why she only lived like 8-9 months 💔 😢. Please help this senior lady. I’m home nearly everyday, I literally only leave my hose if I have a doctors appointment I can’t do online because I have Agoraphobia and have plenty of time on my hands. Sorry my message is so long and personal ❤ I also love your knowledge of birds and respect it.
Hey, I would recommend asking people at your bird store about what you need and how the bird needs to live. You can also try searching it up online, they’ll know what’s right!

Please help!! I got my budgie 5 days ago and it adapted pretty quick but it doesn’t eat at all. I fed it a little green apple 3 days ago and that’s all it ate. It doesn’t eat the seeds at all or drink water .
