We need to gradually develop multiple 100,000T Dry Docks (1 MDL, 1 L&T, 1 GRSE, 1 Cochin, 1 Adani) to have the capability of constructing 5 Supercarriers at once.
Multiple 14,000T Dry Docks also need to be created for constructing entire CBGs at the same time.
It's only possible if we legalise lobbying for foreign countries and develop shipbuilding as an export oriented industry.

Indias work on a nuclear power aircraft carrier have started a long time ago. BARC has already said that they can totally develop a nuclear reactor for aircraft carrier, and our shipbuilding firm have also said they can build a nuclear power carrier in like 10 years. The only problem is the budget.

@@rickgolder6818 having uranium / not having it has very little importance. An aircraft carrier reactor would need atmost 5-10 tonnes of uranium ore which is very less and can be easily bought from multiple countries.

IAC-3 should be planned as a 65000 tons conventionally powered CATOBAR design....EMALS should be attempted only in IAC-4 preferrably in IAC-5....our focus should be to gain manufacturing expertise in a stepped manner...conventional STOBAR is done in INS Vikrant...after another Vikrant-class (IAC-2) carrier, from IAC-3 we must go on to larger conventional CATOBAR, thereafter a nuclear powered steam catapult (IAC-4) & finally to nuclear powered EMALS ie IAC-5...otherwise we might end-up with unwanted delays as we first need to master the suitable nuclear propulsion ie 180-220 mw reactor & EMALS tech...for effective control of IOR & to counter chinese incursions along with operations to safeguard our trade routes near middle-east as well as andamans we will need 4 or 5 carriers groups by 2042-45

@@sandeepreddy6247 Sir...EMALS & nuclear propulsion need much more research work, followed by a shore based actual-size test set-up & then lengthy testing / calibration process....this may take atleast 10-12 years while we have the capability to manufacture a conventional flat-top...any nuclear powered EMALS carrier will be approved only when the tech is realized ie a time frame of atleast 10 years followed by 9-10 years for manufacturing, total atleast 20 year...during this time, looking at our economy, we can afford atleast 2 conventional carriers

IN should modify Vikrant class IAC-2 with nuclear propulsion. otherwise IAC-3 will become more complex with unproven technologies like Nuclear propulsion and EMALS.

If IND Navy wants an EMA Cat. launcher a/c carrier then BARC seriously needs to provide nuclear propulsion requirements.

If the navy have to replaces INS vikramaditya because it's life span is coming to a end than it's back to square 1 as we'll have only 2 with another being constructed. Shouldn't other ship builders invest in a dry dock for aircraft carriers to increase production and service speed.?

To develop big size cargo ship we just need to revive reliance shipyard. That is India's biggest shipyard having the capacity to manufacture 2.5 lakh ton size ship. Don't know why govt dont look at this matter 😢
Let's take a reality check. India is still flying 50+ year old Mig 21s and Jaguars because it has not managed to afford modern fighters, yet is constructing aircraft carriers. Wanting to be like the US will not make it so, nor will it be able to compete with China for one simple reason - size of the economy. A far more sensible approch would be to forget about the dream of projecting superpower status thousands of miles away and focus on building adequate defences for the homeland. Asymetric warfare is the only sensible option - SU30MKI armed with long-range carrier and AWACS killer missiles. The only sensible thing the country has done in recent years is the induction of Rafale, Brahmos on the SU-30MKI as well as the S-400.
