I love your honest evaluations on the rods, especially when you explained why you love the Ark rod. Getting lures out of trees is an important aspect of fishing.
I bought an ark lancer pro after watching your videos and I just got another ark rod. I appreciate you opening my eyes to them. They are awesome and insanely high quality for what you pay.
I agree with the composite rod-I did stumble onto Sunline Crank FC it has some stretch and is still 100% fc so the crankbait will dive deeper Great video-Thanks
It will dive as deep with mono. Mono is heavier than water and sinks contrary to popular belief. Not as fast but it sinks. And it sll sinks when it's got a diving bait on it
I definitely got some use out of my composite rods this past year-mostly running squarebills and mid-divers. That being said, what’s your go-to rod for a super deep diving crank like a 10-XD? I thought my 7’4” heavy moderate might do the trick but I’m too far into the backbone trying to wind those.
Abu Garica Veritas 6'5 medium heavy is my favorite. I have a decent crank and top water set ups. Any requests for a spinning and swimjigs chatterbait bait rod set ups?
I have a composite rod I love that is no longer made. I had 3 and I’m down to only one left after breaking the other two. Might have to give that ark rod you talked about since I can’t get the ones I like so much. Like you I like the composites so much better
1 thing i can say is even though I'm not a fan of glass/composite rods you can get away with more stuff and not lose the fish compared to graphite. With graphite if you get excited a jack one on the hook set theres a good chance you're going to miss that fish. But man i really hate not being able to feel the bottom and when you get a bite on a glass rod its like the fish is just there and you dont feel the bite. That said we live in awesome times because regardless of what you like its out there in pretty much any brand you want which is pretty cool. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
I throw all ARK rods as well, and love the grinder. But I have a bunch of Reinforcers too, a couple of which I’ll use to throw a shad rap in the winter. In that case I’ll just back off the drag a bit on my reel. That allows me to really slow down and feel every rock and bite, but still allows the fish to get it deep. Just takes some practice to get used to adjusting the drag on the fly.
Any idea where this brand of rods are made/assembled? I have bought a few Kistler rods in 2023 in part because they are assembled in Texas and I would prefer American made fishing rods. I have heard really good reviews of the Shimano expride rods but won't buy one because it's made in China and it's pretty expensive. Thanks for your videos!
Should have posted this last week, just received my Dobyns Kaden graphite rod today lol , I really don't crank a whole lot so really never paid much attention to the rods makeup, however I do have a cheap KastKing crankbait rod that is a glass composite and I have to say I don't ever remember losing a fish on it, actually caught my PB just under 9 lbs on it , it's an absolute pool noodle though
I have a dckett silverado and a 7'10" crankin stick from Vass pro. The crankin stick is an im6 graphite rod and the duckett is graphite as well. Only difference I can tell from a glass rod is weight.
My opinion, I use Dobyns crank bait rods, all moderate, I think all graphite. I like cranking and a lot, cover water. Deep. Mid, shallow, even top water. Don’t really loose and fish and I fish braid to liter. Just my opinion, rods load deep and feel the bite.

Berkely cherry wood and mono have worked very well for me going all the way back to the mid 80s'. I still have two newer ones that I use.
My favorite jerk bait and square bill rod and line set up
Same here
Excellent video man! Many of your videos have impacted my ability to catch bass and I very much appreciate that

Glad I’m not the only one that shakes the trees once in awhile.
I have lost 2 giant fish last couple of days with a medium action crankbait rod. Going to buy a composite MH tomorrow.

🇺🇸 American Rodsmith is what Fritts used to use. I think he was using Lews rods before he retired.
What depth would you run this rod?

The alpha Angler Rebound and Mag Rebound will change your mind about all glass rods.
Is the Grinder the 7-6 MH??? I dont see the Grinder listed when I go to the link
I think it’s a 7’ footer, the B-Hittay is 7’4. It was built by Hite for throwing a vibrating jug but works well in some cranking scenarios too.
@@justincase5847 thanks
Totally agree with you on this topic. Even the line choice. 👍🇺🇸
I prefer glass rod's and mono seems to work for me over the past 25 years

Fish an Alpha Angler Rebound or Mag Rebound and you will have deep appreciation for an all glass rod.
You can't get too flexible.
Glass is usually a little to heavy for me. A flexible graphite is my choice
Braid to mono leader with a composite rod...
Lost a 13 lber yesterday on 6xd help me lol
Man you're a week late. I just bought a dobyns champion glass. And I'm not sold on glass. Making me think I messed up. Lol
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This guy is a goof.... some people shouldn't be allowed to make instructional videos
