Kings traded Bibby for that elusive championship..which is fair enough..as an organisation you have to be ambitious..but looking at that decision now..boy they got it wrong..i would’ve raked in commercially from Jwill’s ability to pull the crowd at Arco Arena every night..just sad it was in late 90/early 2000s

Obviously J-Will highlights are great. But if you were young at the time like me, go rewatch a full game from this era and you'll see why the Bibby trade was necessary to get the team to the next level.
And they still didn’t win a ring with Bibby while Jwill matured and won himself a ring with the Heat and took the Griz to the playoff. So gtfoh with that bs... Nobody remembered Bibby while Highlight reel is made every year with Jdub
@@a.t3659 They were the best team in the league in 2002 and were blatantly robbed in the WCF. Then Webber blew out his knee and the window gradually closed. I don't think they would've got close with Jason. He matured, but a lot of point guards would have won a championship in 2005/6 with peak D-Wade and Shaq.
@@ianbent0n Same thing can be said with the Kings after Jwill was traded. Sacrament was already well established by the time Bibby came, so any point guards would have taken them to the WCF 2002 (since the only team that gave them problem was the Lakers). Keep also in mind Bibby NEVER took the Grizzlies to the playoffs during his stint. That only came about with Jwill and Pau (Jerry West as general manager) in 2004. Anywhere Jwill went that team got Better. Don't get me wrong Bibby is good but he is forgotten while Jwill is a Legend!
