Happy Birthday "Auld Lang Syne" - 75 Years Old TODAY!

Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians recorded "Auld Lang Syne" on March 7, 1939. Ever since then there hasn't bee a New Year's Eve Party without that legendary melody played at the stroke of midnight. If old acquaintance be forgot...Auld Lang Syne! Thank you, Mr. Lomardo for giving us a reason to shout "Happy New Year" and celebrate with family and friends each time another year comes to a close. Happy 75th Birthday to "Auld Lang Syne!"

The original recording was in 1939 , it was a instrumental version, the vocal was in 1947, and is probably the best version for New Years Eve.

With Don Rodney in the trio (joined the Band in '45),this must be the mid to late '40s version,think it was 1947.
