Thanks again for your great videos! I did exactly what you did except I pushed in smoke instead of only air. A lot of smoke comes out of the a big hole on the cylinder head cover - the one with a green o-ring (5:49 in your video). Is that normal? Wouldn’t you need to block this hole for the test?
I have a 2c57 boost pressure too low. But what is interesting I can audibly hear my turbo spool louder doesnt sound like turbine blade wheels are scratching it sound like I have an upgraded turbo once boost kicks in. My queation is would a boost leak make the turbo spool louder?? Waste gate duty cycle from MHD app seems to be functioning properly, my boost target seems to be all over the place and not hit its Target boost.
Thank you for the excellent video. Is it normal for air to come out of the valve cover opening during the pressurization where you removed the vent hose?
Hi, in your video, the leak in my n20 is coming from the engine port from the small hose 1 and 3/4 inch in diameter that was taken out. I followed the same procedure as in your video. What would be the cause of the leak. Thank s for advise . Hector of Canada

Thank you! Appreciated!
Smoke isn’t accurate because there will always be blow by so air pressure and drop time is the proper way to detect a leak.
excellent and thorough video!
Very much appreciated!
Hi, at the 5-26 mark you mention a Kit with the Cap, can you let me know that kit name. Thanks
Are you talking about the blue tool?

Could be a leaking wastegate valve, very common on BMWs
Is there a difference for this test between the pneumatic wastegate and the electronic wastegate
No, wastegate has nothing to do with the test.

The vent hose is blocked when pressurized. Yes it’s normal for a little air to be coming out of the valve cover oil fill.
@@motorcarnutI see quite a bit of oil in those suction turbo side is that normal?
@@Sequel7 No it’s not. Vacuum pump is failing
@@motorcarnut ok thank you

What hose you talking about? Where does it connect to so I can understand which one you are talking about?
It is the vent hose taken out, the port of it is the first leak that is very strong. Thanks
and I can smell gas from that vent port
@user-ut6zh6tt2i can you send a photo or post one on your channel so I can see?
Hi i sent a picture in ur instagram. The port with green O ring is the one leaking heavily
