Good news! Turn off control mode completely, and your top speed will increase to 65 mph!

Good review ! You set speed control to high ! But to get maximum power turn speed control and acceleration OFF not on high and normal , everything back to white color . No restriction . You will then get maximum power . Unfortunately the owners manual does not explain this properly. You should get between 62-65 mph depending on weight 😊
My 2020 VX HO doesnt have any of these modes/new dash layout/controls and will absolutely rip the pants off this thing. I would imagine a big difference if settings are changed to as glennyoyo says.
I took out a rental 2020 VX Cruiser HO and got just over 61 mph @ 7200 rpm tops. Had 90 hours on it.
Nice tips, just picked up two 2021 VX Cruiser’s, would this setting work on the non HO models? Maybe pump out a little more speed?
Is the VX version the most comfotable on water? What about VX limited?
Any info on how to do that? Is it still a feature with the newer dash and controls? ie the one with no security key?

Great review. Really appreciate the in depth on the controls and actually using everything rather than just talking about them. Also using the swim step, some are so short they are almost useless. The info on the cooling system differences is much appreciated.

Nice review! We managed to pick one up last year @ MSRP (2021 that someone never ended up taking delivery on). If you find yourself Marine grade 91 fuel it will allow a bit more speed from it. I usually get 91-92 km on mine but with the marine grade I got 102km out of it. It was the 2nd last tank of the season, next fill up was regular 91 octane and back down to 92km/h.
Thinkin on same one whats your top speed i had a vx crusier it did 56 mph. an is the take off alot better with h.o. 1800 thanks

Great review. If you can please do the waverunner exr. I am particularly interested in rebording this little devil. It has good power to weight ratio for such a small jet ski.
Shopping for a new pwc I went with the vx over the gp svho did not want the extra heat in the motor or the extra maintenance on the supercharger on most days you’ll never use full power on either less maintenance and longevity made the vx a choice easy

I live in New Zealand and I’m wanting to get a ski for my family. Do you have a preference and why when it comes to the vx cruiser ho, gti 170se and the Kawi stx160lx? Ultimately we are after stability and reliability but we are unable to test skis here now due to demand and lack of stock. Cheers for your time.

you had drive control on!!! the jet works quite differently and the max on mine is 65m with 100 kg of weight
When you play music on those Bluetooth speakers, how many watts are those speakers and is the sound loud enough for you to hear your music play while you are riding?
It'll actually go faster if you disable the drive mode... I've gotten the 21 FX HO to 107 kmh
You can disconnect the hose to that rooster tail water spout in 2 minutes it’s super easy

Great review and awesum to have CDN and USA $ pricing ! Also nice to have dimensions and weights non metric. Our USA friends will appreciate that and we still buy everyday items by feet N inches rite ! 4x8 sheet....a 2x4 or 2x6 wall stud etc etc. Good work boys !!.
Nice review but you can’t buy these anymore so there’s that. Had two on order back in March and was notified on the 1st of August that Yamaha will NOT be fulfilling my order or that of about 20% of the orders placed in 2021. Hope you can get your hands on a 2022 before they are gone too.

@@abecker1028 it’s the same hull, same engine, same fuel economy, you just don’t get the auto trim handlebars but those seem kind of useless without the super charger, only difference imo is the seat
Looking at buying a 2022VXHO, I would imagine it will be sane hall design as 2021. Question I have is, does the driver get sprayed in the face when riding in 12” or greater rollers? My 2013 VXR is great except for the spray on the face. Thanks
Wish we could answer, but our lake rarely has waves up to a foot.
It’s wet ride and lot of water comes from behind when you slow down, so definitely cold feet in the fall 🙁…. I have exact machine… I think seadoo base GTX better machine if you want to stay dry.

Sadly you still had the speed limiter on in the high position. It can go even faster! . It's a little confusing. Should get 100kms/hr.

Hey bro! Don’t suppose you can give some advice, with the difference between the 1 litre and 1.8 litre CC’s is it that noticeable or is it more at the top end. I want something exciting to ride but worried the 1 litre won’t be enough
I have a VX Cruiser with the 1.049 liter 3 cylinder 125 hp engine. Top speed is about 53 mph, and it goes from zero to thirty in about three seconds. Oh, and I weigh 215 pounds, of that helps any.

U say it’s not as nimble as the gp1800 But….. It has the exact same hull, it’s the exact same. So…
One is 794 pounds, the other is 717 pounds, and has had its 100+ pound gas tank moved to change center of gravity, and has high performance intake, and has auto trim to maneuver at high speeds through corners. So…

Start a company and make a cheaper PwC with similar aptions and bring them to 'the people'. Sadly you have no clue how to run a business or what it costs to build good equipment in an extremely competitive field....which is why the prices are fair.
Not entirely true, Seadoo still uses water, just not in the engine. If you ride in salt water, you still need to flush a seadoo
Seadoo does NOT use water to cool the engine. Every ski uses water to propel itself, that’s how a ski works.
I like your videos.....but when you did top speed....why did you do kilometers, we are in the u.s.a., everything is mph.
