Dude. ive freinds i bike with sometimes. But theres nothing better to get out on the trails on your own, or even a local route...where you might meet other lone bikers. I love riding alone as you can go at your own pace, enjoy the country side and learn a lot!

I’m a girl and I ride mountain bikes, dirt bikes, and surf. But yeah I don’t know any other girls who do it.
Little bit late, but I ride downhill and I know another girl who rides it to. And I have seen a few girls in Bike parks to. I live in Europe, maybe you don't have them in USA/Canada. But here in Europe you have them.
I was in Whistler 3 weeks ago, there were quite a few. All ages too.

Its a weird thing watching your videos. Although the terrain is of course a bit lighter here in England, I've always just ridden to the top, or on the really hard bits I walk. The idea of shuttling is just, strange.

pain helps you evolve
Racewar shuttling is the best way to practice downhill if you're a racer. A 20 mile trail ride and a full day practicing technical descents at basically a 3 minute sprint leaves equally as tired. Some downhill trails are impossible to ride up and the hike would severely diminish the number of runs you have the energy to do. It's a different side of mountain biking but still mountain biking
Shuttling is pretty specific to downhill mtb. I live in Florida, so you've really gotta to work for your downhill sections. Gotta pedal up first to go down. 😂 That leg workout is the real deal though!! It does kinda sucks you can't descend more than about 40 ft at a time but still! There are so many amazing trails out here!

It takes me 20 minutes to set up my wheels for tubeless, 2 hours trying to set the wheels with my hand pump, 2 hours calling around to see who has a compressor, and 40 minutes to drive over to their place and set my tires. That’s why it takes me 5 hours.
It sounds like the perfect girlfriend to me.
Like that kind of girls, only the have to let me ride too.
