    You played very well, ı have been working on this solo for 1 week thanks to you. Is there a small tab error in section 2 of 4:15 ? Does it seem to me? Thanks a lot

      Hey thanks Onur, you're absolutely correct,I've made an error,it's supposed to be 13-12-15 on the second string in that middle tab (NOT 13-12-14),I appreciate you mentioning this, you have a good eye! Cheers!:)

    Awesome thanks so much for posting these videos, I swear most of the tabs I find are no good and I beat myself up a lot trying to learn, not even knowing if what I'm doing is right. Thanks man! I know what you mean,one of the reasons I chose these solos is precisely because I couldn't find correct tabs/tutorials for them myself(and they are such grate songs) ,so I tried learning them as close to the original as I could so I could share them with fellow guitar players.Thanks again,cheers!

      Yes so true, I know even though they are hard songs that yngwie doesn't do them in weird or overly complex ways or pentatonic type boxes which is what a lot of transcribers try to do with it.

    In the spirit of fun, I’m hearing the lick at the 2:43 mark as using a tap on. You can hear when slowed down it is spliced. That 16-19 on the high E is not natural feeling the way you have it. I’m thinking Yngwie is hitting (two string sweep) the B string at the 15th, E string at the 12th hammering on to the 13th and 16th and with a right hand tap at the 19th, then pulling off to 16, 13, 12 (on the E) then 15, 13,12 slide to the 10, then 13, 12, 10 slide to 9 (on the B) then slide up to the 15th on the E with a full bend up. The attack on the record is making me think this. When played at speed it feels a lot faster, more fluid and the attack sounds right. Let me know what you think. Cheers!!

    How do you get that growl when you bend on the 15th high E string at 3:34? or what is the technique called I'm a bit of a novice

    • @chasingfrets
      @chasingfrets  3 роки тому

      Good question George and here's the thing -instead of bending only one string ( in this case high E ) I'm simultaneously grabbing the second string as well ( at the same fret) so I'm bending both E and B string from 15 th to the 17th with my ring finger grabbing the two strings. The technique is called two-string or multi string bending, Stevie Ray Vaughan was famous for this technique and here is a video that might be helpful in this topic ua-cam.com/video/tbome2_Xk5k/v-deo.html

    Hey man do you use economy picking like Yngwie when he’s ascending 3nps scales or do you alternate pick it all? I’ve found that I can play faster by utilizing alternate picking and pick slant but maybe it would pay off in the long run to develop economy picking.

    • @chasingfrets
      @chasingfrets  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, like Yngwie, I only use economy picking when ascending 3 - notes per string. I'd definitely recommend developing that technique because it's quite useful generally speaking and not just for neoclassical stuff. Also, it will bring you closer to Yngwie's sound because there is a bit of a difference in terms of sound and attack between alt. picking and economy picking even though it's the same notes. So the rule of thumb is : Yngwie uses economy when ascending but when he descend ( 3 - notes per string ) he uses 'down - up -pull of' technique - that way his picking hand will always land on a comfortable down stroke when crossing string. Hope it helps!

    • @brandon_945
      @brandon_945 2 роки тому +1

      @@chasingfrets ah yes thanks so much, that helps tremendously. I will incorporate some economy picking into my daily practice routine until I build it up!
