You can tell early on that it isn’t underwater just because some of the sails and netting in the “shipwreck” area would probably float and/or flutter in the currents produced by the submarine cars. It definitely looks amazing though!!

I love so much how Disney rides are so immersive, and also incredible in engineering, and technically. This is such a massive ride with so much computing going on with all of the ride vehicles keeping spaces apart, all the visual, audio, motion control elements working together getting synced perfectly. Amazing! I love it!
The ride vehicles are on a track, genius. As for the visuals, Six Flags does the same thing. What motion control elements? The whole ride moves along a single path. The haunted mansion ride at Six Flags Over Georgia is more sophisticated.

If you look up at the wall inside the submersible, there is a depth meter. The meter shows that the submersible is sinking when the submersible is dragged in the deep sea. Trivia from Japanese Disney fun

Hey at first I thought the ride actually went underwater, until the end when I didn't see it come out from the water, I was like whaaaaat, and sonread comments. This ride is genius!
So the windows are convexed glass tank filled with water and bubble making mechanism, pure GENIUS! The lighting and whole displays creates the feeling of submerged-like. 👍👍👍
What a great video! High quality cinematography. When I see a UA-cam video labeled as 4K i usually just roll my eyes, but I can't wait to see this on a large screen! The 20K ride at Tokyo Disney Sea is one of DIsney's best attractions so I'm very happy to be able to share this video with friends that might not travel to Tokyo. Thanks for such a great POV video!
I genuinely thought we would actually be underwater when I first rode, but was disappointed when we were not. As the ride went on though, I enjoyed it more than the OG one.
The people who built this ride built most of the rides in the American parks as well. Disneysea simply had the 'spared no expense' motto in designing it so the imagineers could go crazy with their ideas.

Something I learned from this is that when I go to these theme parks I never have a cell phone or a camera. I enjoy the moment. Then I know that here I will find the video haha
Incredible ride, my only critique is that they should add a filter to the glass to make everything look a bit more blue. That’s how things underwater look. It would help with the immersion

Absolutely genius, this ride does an amazing job of making you think you are under water. And the theming and ride are absolutely beautiful and well done. I really wish I could go here..
If I could stop time and wander around anywhere...to heck with Fort Knox, I would take a hike through this ride on foot! Look at all the set pieces and details up close...maybe sit down and have lunch in those Atlantis ruins.
The shadow at about 4 and a half minutes in of the mermaids chasing the submarine is terrifying! I really hope that by the time my family gets to go to the park it’ll still be up and running, it looks so cool!
I remember going here for example the Volcano Ride with the Huge centipede, The curry popcorn, and this, This was my favorite I even took a pic of one of the posters

Neat! At first when i saw the natilus i was at first like: oh this is gonna be the exact same thing as at paris but no what a pleasant suprise. One thing i'd like to see is like vr subtitles, allowing more people to understand the dialogue knowing japanese isn't as common yet as english..
The idea for imitating water effect with the 2 sheets of glass is super duper cool! Disney should have use this idea istead of putting an all fake submarine in a tank of water, risking it to leak and destroy the animatronics. But I would rather see a nice sea serpent animatronic that that... kind of half serpent half mermaid creature:looks like the mermaids and the sea serpent had some fun before decay xD

I loved this dark ride when we visited Disney Sea last may. And the queue was only 5 minutes for this ride.

The idea for imitating water effect with the 2 sheets of glass is super duper cool! Disney should have use this idea istead of putting an all fake submarine in a tank of water, risking it to leak and destroy the animatronics.
But I would rather see a nice sea serpent animatronic that that... kind of half serpent half mermaid creature:looks like the mermaids and the sea serpent had some fun before decay xD
The "Korean (auto-generated) > English" subtitles were the real star here! 🤣
