A very nice look at (another) 'gem' from N.I. that I didn't realise was in my library. I've owned a Komplete bundle for many years and spend many hours on UA-cam for 'tutorial' content; and I have to say that there's a lot of garbage out there. This presentation stands above this due to the presenter's care full use of the English language; and is able to communicate both the 'essence' of its subject, and the relative detail. I will dive headlong into this instrument with insight and joy. Thank you, Daniel, for the Thrilling experience.
Thanks Daniel, this overview helped me to get going and set this library up in my template, since it works a bit differently than usual sample libraries. However after auditioning through all the sound sources by themselves, I would add that apart from the concept of the library being very well thought out for the playability for this kind of "cool noise" sounds, there is still a lot of raw sample material i.e. the so called Sound Sources that contain baked in performances (pitch and/or dynamics and/or rhytm performance) instead of having more "static" samples that you can then preform and shape with much more flexibility. But the atmospheres part of the library and particularly the more hybrid sound sources have huge value and it makes a lot of cool sounding hybrid samples that we all have but are baked performance basically obsolete in my opinion. However the cluster designer isn't that versatile I think, a lot of what it offers could be done with much more control with dedicated strings/woods/brass libraries. The most useful is the glide mode, particularly for strings, as you demonstrated ( I am not sure how much of bending and that kind of performance could brass/ww players do, trombones I am pretty sure could do that stuff, but not sure for others) and it enables to do some pretty specific performances but I can't think of any other library that could do something similar so yeah the glide mode is pretty cool. Cheers!
Hey daniel, thanks for your awesome demonstration! I am looking forward towards a typical 5hrs stream and composing some hybrid stuff, while i am ordering king size pizza, drinking 8 bottles of pepsi, eating 5kg unhealthy salted chips and finding excuses, why i am not helping my girlfriend finalizing all wedding steps for august haha. Keep it up man, you're killing it!
Hey your videos are awesome. Keep up the good work mate! Can you please make some videos on how to use music theory in composition. Like how you make your chords and melodies. Also how to approach making string quartets. Like just an insight on all of this. Which books to read? What tutorials to watch? The methods that the composers in the industry use to compose stuff ( Like Hans Zimmer ). Thank you.
Any clue how this happens behind the scenes? I'm an interactive audio systems design student.. and I'd love to play around with making something similar. This one sems rather sophisticated, though! Very believable, at least it is in capable hands.
As far as I can tell, the x-axis of the XY pad controls fading between the two sources, and the Y-axis controls different dynamic layers. I have no clue how the cluster designer works, or how the make the risers so good.
Hello Daniel, great demo ! I'm gonna get "Thrill" right way ! I have a question about the bank you are using in Omnisphere . Where does the DJ Chaos bank come from ? Thanks !
Really helpful video. Now I have a pretty good idea about THRILL. By the way, I like your webcam lens, which webcam are you using for your streamings? Many thanks
I bought this when it came out, but I hardly used it. After this video, I'm using all the time. Thanks Daniel!

Agreed, it's incredible!! Keep up the great vids 🙂
Daniel, great Video. This is a game changer. Totally agree that NI should develop more of this for different genre's.
Cannot believe I got the full updated version for $150 on BF. This was the KING of the HAUL!
Someone definitely made a sample instrument out of those sounds at the beginning
Good call on the symphobia riser being the "wilhelm scream" of effects.

Hello, rather, in cubase how to handle the XY Pad for automation, as well as in FL Studio ?. Thank you.
Cc1 for X cc 11 for the Y ( modulation and expression )
Pretty cool video and cool library DJ.
up and down is Y axis lol.
Yeah I always fuck that up.

You are the youngest god walking on the keyboard.

Might have already been asked mate, but are you gonna do a video on Spitfire and BT's Phobos?
Thrill looks pretty good, thanks for the video.
It could happen!
Dear wonderful Daniel,
what do you think of Metropolis Ark 2 for your purposes?
Its great for the more score type cues. Not particularly big but I don't think thats its aim. Its Orchestral Tools tho so it always sounds good.
Daniel, any problems with 5.6.8? I want to grab Thrill but wondering if latest Kontakt is okay to go yet?
Hey, Daz, how do you like the new Keystation? Better than the old model?
dan is this 1.1 with new features?
Dear Daniel , Can I use my Mouse to Use Thrill? Thank you so much
Yes you can, that's what he is using actually
What midi controller you use?
Definitely NOT for asmr use lol
blah blah blah
Nice overview, but please learn to edit We don't need to wast our time watching your techical difficulties.
