- Presenters play a vital part in the Eurovision Song Contest. With 61 editions of the contest we have seen many presenters over the years, all with their different styles.
We will be paying tribute to some of the presenters of the Eurovision Song Contest. Today we travel back in time to the 1990's. We have asked you to vote for your favourite presenter of the 90s. You have voted for many but the battle for number one came down to two couples: Ingvild Bryn & Morten Harket from Norway (1996) and Terry Wogan and Ulrika Jonsson from the United Kingdom (1998). RIP to the broadcasting legend that was Sir Terry Wogan. Ulrika was the bomb in the 90's & together they were an unforgettable ESC hosting team.
There are Eurovision legends, and then there's Terry. One of the great commentators and presenters. RIP.

Not for the winner or the 3rd place ... but for Croatia, Cyrprus, UK, Germany, Portugal, Estonia, Greece, France, Slovakia, Finalnd, Norway, Belgium and the netherlands ..... all WERE GREAT SONGS

Not many good ones there, I admit but I liked Sakis & Maria from 2006.
Ulrika is a legend and has proved it once again during CBB. One of the best exportations coming from Sweden/UK.

Terry and Ulrika proved that you can host a contest without resorting to gimmicks and shouting as all the presenters have done since then.

Ulrika have been totally impolite particularly with the Dutch jury spokeswoman ! Terrible!
BerBer DURET the Dutch lady said she had taken part "long ago" but it was drowned out by the crowd. Ulrika just repeated it in the form of a question. It wasn't meant as an insult.

I ain't Russian but, for me it was Natalia Vodianova, Andrey Malakhov, Ivan Urgant and Alsou from Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia.
I hope Ireland can win again so we can have our commentator Marty Whelan on the stage, he loves it so much it is a great injustice he cannot host. I also hope the UK win again to see Graham Norton host. I couldn't think of a better host. Or even Ant and Dec but I doubt they would want to do it.

The ones which hosted 2000 in Sweden were awesome. The ones in Tallinn wer awful. I still have headache of the woman's voice. 😂

True story.... In 2019 . Ulrika hooked up with a man in London who is well known in finance . The stories he tells about her are unreal...... She is messed up badly and a total lunatic in bed.Verging on insane and dangerous . He walked away after 48 hours as he could not take the strain of been on edge all the time . He says she needs real help and must have been sexually abused for the last 30 years .
I voted and kept an eye on the results during the period this competition was running. In the end about 104 people had voted from whom 56 directly voted for the presenter in 1996 Morten Harket. That means that more than 50% of all the votes went to Morten Harket so Terry Wogan can not be the winner of this competition. It seems Terry Wogan had to win probably to honor him because he passed away early this year. This competition was as crooked as the actual ESC is each year :).

Dear Peet72 V, the votes we're counted on all platforms. On the website the Norwegian duo was the clear favourite. On the social platforms however the favourite was the couple from the United Kingdom. All together the UK couple got slightly more votes. It was a close race though!
in my opinion the hosts of turkey (2004) were the best ones from the 2000s
Well, from the recently last years obviously 2011 Anke was the best host so far, but from the 2000 to 2009 I think almost all the couple id host were boring and repetitive. I think the best was 2003 Marie N and the guy and 2007 Mikko and the girl. And of course, the worst, ...so far, were the 2002 couple sooo boring in Tallin terrible voices and nothing special and funny at all.
