I do not use any processing settings on my receiver for sound quality

Unfortunately I haven't heard, I'm still waiting for them to release Spotify Connect for the receiver as it still shows to be coming soon. It's been asked in the facebook group that I follow and some have only gotten the reply that they are working on it but don't have an ETA. Are you needing the 2.1 for gaming?
